    You could also study the figures from other users too to harness even more methods, and create figures that look incredibly realistic yet not that node consuming as it looks.

    1. I think about what I’m going to make. I don’t necessarily plan or sketch anything, I mostly just plan everything in my head and experiment with it.

    2. When I’m making figures, I mostly just try to flesh out the illusion of what I’m looking for. If I wanna go hyper-realistic, I use ellipses for shading which works surprisingly well for very intricate detail. When I’m going for my normal style, the point is not to make it look realistic by adding features something realistic would have (i mean intricate detail) but create thr illusion with a few specific methods:
    ==============
    1. 3 dimensional illusion (you could learn this from looking at underbaselevels figures)

    2. Elliptical highlights (you can learn this from scout trooper, or infinite guess who now uses it. *usually seen in hair*)

    3. Gradient use (you could learn this from jackfly more than anybody, look at how he uses gradient. Also just common sense for where to put it such as shadows. A neat thing I like to do though is to create a 3d effect by having one ellipse. Putting one behind it, make it darker in color and add a black inner gradient)

    4. Light source (always take into consideration of the light source from all light-emitting objects.)

    5. Add a round line brighter than the object at the side where the light source is. Split segment and add gradient at both ends that connect to each other at the middle. (Gradient is optional, I sometimes use it and sometimes dont)

    6. Add an ellipse At the other side that is darker than the rest, and add an even darker gradient at the center.

    7. Also add random ellipses similar to the elliptical highlight around the object if necessary.

    ==================
    The finished result is a look like copoctatius.
    Its basically a combination of what other users do, put all into one figure to come out with a “realistic” result. If the figure isn’t large, this doesn’t take up that much nodes as it would look to take Imo. Copoctatius is large though and is up to 2000 nodes.

    I thought you said grodot had rings. Sorry if you were talking about another planet

    Maybe you could do something with the ring system. It could be large enough and spread out in a way so that it eclipses the sun all year, and the sun appears 80% less than a night sky does because of the rocks and ice and gas constantly blocking it out.

    This could allow for some cool scenery too.

    I wouldn’t mind adding betrayal, as it would make this less repetitive and less straightforward.

    The only problem I have with this is the sentience the anti-nodes have. Your oc will have to take on her true role later on as the anti-nodes don’t possess sentience for a while and wouldn’t understand the concept of noders fighting alongside them for the first few episodes.

  • Replying to comment by: Cheese Biscuit@beginninganimator I have a question, space guy Does the si

    Im not entirely an expert but I’ll give it a go with a slight amount of help from google.

    It seems that the larger the planet the faster it spins.
    Jupiter is the largest, so it spins the fastest.
    Small planets have a day longer than Earths.

    On earth, longer days and longer nights during winter and summer occurs because of Earth’s tilt
    Because one hemisphere is tilted towards the sun in summer, a day is longer.
    Because one hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, a night is longer.
    So I suppose you could tilt the planet in a way that would make nights much longer. Although I think it would need more than just a tilt because I’m assuming you’re talking about all year it does this which I don’t think would be possible without something blocking out the sun.

    Fill me in on the features grodot has as well as the orbit so I can come up with a concept why it often has more nights.

    Sure you can join. You can optionally tell me what your oc would look like in 2026 and what they’d be doing

    All characters will actually be anti-node, as this is based on nodes vs anti-nodes.
    The anti-node counterparts however will be more distorted in appearance, as they stole the dna from people made from nodes and attempted to make it fit to their own dna.

    Tl;dr

    A “bird” seen on the horizon, thought to be a top-secret plane or prehistoric species.

    It was discovered to be an object further away than the moon, hovering in outerspace. Ever since the exploration of the object with a spacecraft, it was frightened by this and quickly fled from Earth’s vision.
