Didn’t get much feedback from people when i made this
so, i don’t know if im mentioning the right person, but you seem the most intelligent when it comes to criticizing..
So what do you think i should do? should i swap out the black lines for proper shading?
Should i make the anatomy clearer? (since that’s what i’m going for)

If those were shadows than you should make an artificial gradient across the areas where you want shadows. You do this by choosing the colour of the shadow and the colour of the leg itself, you then place three or more of the shape you are using for your shadow next to each other and fade the colour of the shadow and the leg itself so it creates what can be considered an artificial gradient.
In case you didn’t get that here is what I consider an ‘Artificial Gradient’
