Ok boys first poll

[ PART 2 OF 2 OF THE BARCHONDIAN FALL ]

(Adding this here because I forgot to in my last post: The Barchondians said that the Giten simply fell from the sky one day as a small puddle of black slime. They couldn’t trace where exactly it had came from so they believed it to be some form of divine reckoning being as it fell from the sky one day and started fucking shit up.)

They burned their clothes and ventured far out to another solar system in which an old ally lied. The ancient race of the Galdions, which were a gladiatorial group of machines with free will and sentience living on a wasteland planet deep beneath the surface, they had known the Barchondians since they traveled outside of their solar system and into theirs. They had no idea of the circumstances of which they were being met with or why they were here but the Galdions met the Barchondians with embrace, unaware of the horrors occurring on their homeworld. The Galdions helped mainstream the creation of the soul-powered weapons all that time ago, creating great machines that would (voluntarily) kill multiple persons and suck out their souls and input it into a small stone and crystalline object, these objects are the soul-powered weapons now known as the “artifacts”. They still possessed the means to create more of these machines in order to create more soul weaponry, however these machines were made to create small, handheld weapons and nothing to the scale that the Barchondians needed, it was possible but to power a weapon like that it would take a lot of resources and a lot of souls. It would take almost all of the surviving race to power it, meaning an ensured extinction if this plan goes into fruition.

They were dealing with a massive creature constantly growing by the days, overtaking their world and all of the worlds around them, absorbing everything in sight and replacing it with more of itself. For the sake of all other life in the universe they would need to take the bullet and die off in order to kill this demon. The remaining Barchondians accepted their fate and gave themselves up to be used for the weapons construction, being mass sacrificed and having their souls fed into the husk of the machine. This artifact was a massive weapon with a potential so huge that anyone who got ahold of it would truly be unstoppable, it was the artifact to end all artifacts, it was called the “Reversion Artifact” because if it worked then it would be able to kill the Godmind in a single shot.

After all had been said and done, only a small group of Barchondians remained, this group did not volunteer to die but rather to carry out the efforts. This group of people were an ancient cult, they saw these events as a divine reckoning, an old prophecy existed amongst the cult’s religion that foretold something horrifically similar to the events that has unfolded on their people. They did not believe in intervening as it went against what they believed in, thinking that this was a deserved punishment from the gods and that in order to get this creature to stop, they all had to die. They took the weapon home with them and didn’t use it to destroy the Giten, rather they sealed it away in a massive stone and metal sarcophagus and used rituals to keep it protected from anyone who would try to open it. In the case that the Giten doesn’t cease, a fail safe was implemented, the sarcophagus could only be opened if 5 designated artifacts were gathered together, granting the person with these artifacts access to a weapon capable of destroying the Giten once and for all.

The artifacts were scattered across the universe and the sarcophagus was simply ejected into space so that it may end up anywhere. The cult had died soon after, marking the end of the most powerful race the universe has seen.
