We’ve got curved poly fills now? I thought it was only segments
This update keeps surprising me and I’m always curious as to what I and others are gonna make with the tools it’s given us
Probably floppy penis physics

Yeah, I did make this figure awhile ago and have updated it yesterday with the curved segments for the halos, today I’ll see if I can do some stuff with the body and curved segments to make it even smoother

The Giten needs energy to survive and grow, it’s necessary that it consumes as much as it can so it can of course grow as much as it can. However there comes a point where the Giten decides that it doesn’t need to use this energy to grow, so instead it stores it away. This stored energy can be used for really anything, usually it’s used to grow more in the case that it can’t get a good supply of energy, but more often than not the Giten weaponizes it.
A single days worth of energy, if a Hivemind is rooted into a planets core, which is usually one of the first things that happens, can be transformed into a weapon. What kind of weapon? Depending on the amount energy exhausted at once it can range anywhere from a shockwave, EMP, or a temporary tear in space and time that sucks things in. Most of the time it will result to the shockwave, unleashing energy in powerful pulses and knocking people or vehicles back, even knocking close flying vehicles away. This shockwave makes it incredibly hard to contain the Giten, being as it can easily decimate its enclosure if it so chooses.
If a very old and very powerful Hivemind, such as an eldermind or the Godmind, needs to get rid of a bunch of attackers quickly it will exhaust a lot of energy and create temporary tears in space and time which can suck in anything around it. This is almost entirely exclusive to the more powerful minds in the Giten hierarchy as this much energy being exhausted can potentially kill or seriously harm a normal mind.
Attacking the Giten at close range is bad for many reasons, and this post clears up why. Of course there are other methods that it does use however these are the methods that make use of its stored up energy and were way cooler than just a typical melee attack.
I will soon post about the infection, possession, and the purification process next as it is one of the most crucial keystones for the Giten and figuring out what it really is.

This is a slugger and a half i see , first thought it was gonna make like organic weapons and machinery , Yuuzhan Vong but more of blast and power attack styles sounds unique and awesome

Also this isn’t even the beginning of what there is to see, like not even a quarter of the Giten has been made known here yet and you already like it. I have a feeling you’ll like this creature even more once it’s revealed what it really and truly is, because it’s not a plague or anything like that
All will be known in time

Like it doesn’t even need human/organic mass, by simply digging deep into a planet or star it starts absorbing thermal energy and uses it as its main energy output. Eventually I’ll get into what it does with STORED energy because when it’s not spreading, it stores it, and then weaponizes it in one of the coolest ways I could think of

Ok so Giten lore and I’m not gonna do the log shit, I’m just gonna make lore posts traditionally so it’s easier to understand.
[The source of the Giten]
The Giten as far as anyone is aware comes from a massive string of planets, stars, solar systems, and galaxies all strung together by the Giten. This area is a massive 3 galaxy wide spot in space full of planets and stars that have been completely consumed and connected together like a spiders web around a massive spiky black orb half the size of a galaxy right at the center. Everything revolves around it, and from what it seems, it all originated from there. Being as the Giten is a massive series of hiveminds, it’s safe to assume that the central brain lies there, it’s a sort of “Godmind” if you will. This massive area is known as the Nexus or the axis as it’s sometimes referred to. All of the information gathered from the billions of smaller minds are transferred there, allowing the minds to act as eyes for this Godmind, the Godmind can manifest anywhere there is Giten thanks to this.In the middle of it all, at the very center of the Nexus lies a star where the Godmind feeds, sucking energy out of the star and all of the planets connected to it. The most notable thing about this location is that orbiting this star was a planet inhabited by one of the most advanced civilizations ever known; the Barchondians. They witnessed the Giten happen, they knew where it came from, and they knew how to hold it off….but it seems their efforts were in vain as only a year or so after the Giten first struck their homeworld were they all wiped out, leaving behind clues scattered across the universe that could help defeat the cancer and save the universe from it. Ancient artifacts that could maybe even kill the demon once all assembled, however nobody knows where to begin looking. This was all 1 million years ago exactly, the artifacts have more than likely been lost to time…
-
Oh wow. R.I.P barchondians.

This is like a legit story you pumped here already
A lot of sci fi have living plagues that act as hive mind but I really dig how GodMind goes father then just beings and consumes full on star energyReally puts into scale what this being is now , without sounding bland and boring

That’s pretty good, very liquid-looking, like some weird tentacle demon thing.

Maybe use curved segments for the body so it looks rounder and smoother.
