so I was playing this rocket game and I made a missile (it could actually go to the moon but I just mess around with it typically) and I deployed one of the parts of it (the payload fairing to be specific) and the part crashed back down to earth but the game glitched hard and it bounced back off of earth at about 10km/s which propelled it into orbit of the sun

I don’t live in meter-land
but I’m like, 93.506% positive 10km/s isn’t that fast
my dude
that is 10 kilometres per second
THAT IS FASTER THAN MOST ROCKETS MOVE
this is why I make silly apps and not rockets
if we were to merge all the countries that use metres, we’d have a supercontinent
if we were to merge all the countries that use the imperial system, we’d have a place a bit larger than the US
meter-land is most of the world
no i agree, meters are better
we tried to implement it some decades ago but it wasn’t feasible, and probably is even less so today
but ya’ll can suck deep ass about Celsius
Fahrenheit > Celsius come at me whenever
i like fahrenheit for it’s precision but I dislike how it’s melting and freezing points of water are arbitrary
celsius serves its purpose in a scientific environment, what with 0 and 100 = freezing/boiling
neat
however this results in average real-world human air temperature readings being like -10 or 5 or whatever
whereas farenheit is 0 = “feels cold as balls yo” and 100 is “feels hot as dicks yo”
fahrenheit: oh it’s 100 degrees this sucks but I can live with it
celsius: it’s 100 degrees oh god I’m gonna die
100 Celsius

That’s gonna be much higher than 100
100 just gets your water horny
