I’ve been looking to incorporate FX into my animations and have been meaning to check out some editors where I could implement them. If I can’t, I’ll definitely try experimenting with your idea. I can see what you mean. Though it’s still pretty cool to see the jump you’ve made between this, and the modern video of yours I’ve seen. Nice work man, I’m glad to see you’re putting that collection to use.
I remember when I was younger I used to dabble in stop motion. Near the end of things, I started using cotton balls or just small bits of cotton for car wheel smoke or gun shots. May be nice to add it if you have the time and can find small enough pieces.
