May 3rd – Whisper
Yesterday’s word was whisper

First design I had in mind would’ve been a switch dagger made to be both lightweight, and coldly efficient, but knowing it’d be both a bit borring and thinking it wouldn’t fit the word too well, I switched for a pistol

Damn it was helish to design, mostly because I wanted the folding trigger to be fuctional and plausible, and thank god the VK default exists to help me a bit, but the other aspect that hindered me a bit was the lack of ideas in the moment. I genuenly had no clue what I was gonna do, I know what the functionalities/specs would be (foldable, 22lr, ect…) but for the look? No clues

Having missed may 4th, I’m making it into a malus round for June 1st where I’ll be forced to make a fig with 200 or less nodes, plus the challenge/subject the comunity will choose. I coul’ve said “yeah I’ll do that tomorow” but if it pilled up again and again I’d be doing this challenge on 2 months or something if I keep missing shit

May 2nd – Heroisme
Today’s weapon is supposed to embody heroisme.

I’m prouder of today’s weapon, having had more time to make it, and thus, for detailes. I went for blue and gold as opposit to malice, with a twinge of red for contrast. The word heroisme didn’t really inspire mutch of an element/emblem exept the sun, so I ran with it. Though I’m not sure the contrast is the greatest, I added a few shine here and there, mostly on the handle’s golden parts. I wish I had more than 400 nodes to work with, then I’d have put some simple (or not) engravings on the blade, but I’m somewhat satisfied with it

And wanna know something funny? I originaly based of the general shape of the handle from a recorder because I didn’t know what shape to start with.

May 1st – Malice
Today’s weapon is supposed to embody malice.

Since I didn’t have that mutch time (I know, I start this project on good terms) I didn’t put as many detailes as I would’ve otherwise. I mostly thought about the shape and colors, having something jagged, with MANY spikes, with a somewhat chaotic shape, and because why not, chaned to some… Dagger thingy? I don’t even know myself, but I thought it’d be a cool concept.

I’d spend some more time either tomorow or later to remake, or at least add to it, because I ain’t missing a day in favor of the previous one despite those 300 nodes of an unsatisfactory curved greatsword.

M97 Custom

Hello there, been a while

Been a week since I slowly came back to SN, experimenting with joints and all that
Figured I’d come back with what I know what to do best of course, a weapon, this time a semi auto pistol
Of course you know me, I love a good pistol, but I love it even more when it’s engraved and all pretty
This is why I made this

(I’ll make it quick as it’s 4am where I am)

Functionalities—-
Functionality wise, I included the basics as I almost allways do
Slide, trigger, mag node, hammer, accessory node, muzzle node, and even the 1911 grip safety is movable

It was a good exercise for me getting used to joints as I used them for almost every movable parts
You can’t move the trigger into the slide, you can’t move the slide outside of how far it would “realistically” move, ect…

Inspirations—-
This “GFI M97” or “Grenat Firearms* Industries Modelo 1997″ is mostly ispired by the B76, in this case the body is more than the slide, but it’s more visible on the base model
This one bores more resemblence to a Nighthawk custom 1911 for the slide, and the motifs were made with my brain off, used many references and tried many things, almost allways costed too mutch nodes for the coverage, so I ended up going for this simple-ish floral decorations with roses here and there

Overall I like the result, joints rocks, and I gotta go to sleep
