I’ll remove some gradients, I do see I did A lot

Okay harry, yeah the green guy who jumped into a bucket of gradients is sort of better than the red guy, but theyre still the same. Only difference added is that he’s drenched in gradients, which sometimes, gradient’s doesnt help improve the look of them.
But you’re learning some things, which i recommend you to keep trying, you have made some sort of improvements, it’s not like OMG YOU CHANGED! But you are making progress, keep trying out some new things and play with the tools handed to you.

Following on from Helmet, gradients can work but it depends how you use them, applying them to every part or entire parts rarely works not to mention the colour options are quite plain.
All in all it’s just a learning thing as Helmet spoke about, the more you practice and keep going eventually you’ll get to a point in which you’re satisfied with your work.

This is a very good start for making an oc, but there are a few things that you can work on. For instance, what is exactly your character? You should think about these few things:
-Age
-Race
-Powers
-A short backstory
-And a few defining traits
One of the most important things about you character is the few defining traits that make them unique. My Oc Narr has a few. For example, he has massive horns, a giant spiral for a singular eye, and he is made up of a blue galaxy. You could do the same for your character, make an info sheet about them, they could be a human, demon, robot, whatever you want. You should also sketch them a couple times, and when you find a good design, you should add color-

why are the raybands red instead of green to match the eyes

Why are sonic’s shoes blindingly red when the rest of his body is blue?

color theory
red and blue are opposites on the color wheel, inverts, so it makes sense that they go together
red and green are super close to each other on the color hweel, which makes them look kind of strange together

Well yes, exactly, but there are different types of color palettes

Also, I’ve been doing animation stuff since I was 6-7 but I am still getting used to SN, as on my iPad I can’t get other apps I used to use

I know, the stick with green eyes was the base. I’ll improve it

I can’t do this anymore, I give up making an oc. I want it to be original and unique when it’s literally just a stickman with green eyes I’d do anything to have Someone make an oc for me at this point
-
You gotta make it unique my guy
An OC ain’t really gonna be an OC if it’s a stick with green eyes, unless you make it memorable in some way
You have to give your guy a defining feature/trait, whether that be physical traits or personality traits, weapons, etc.
I recommend looking up tutorials on youtube, for both character design in general and tutorials on how to better use sticknodes because the app can be a bit overwhelming at first
Whenever it seems difficult, don’t give up; try harder, you’ll find success at some point, even if it doesn’t seem like a hill you can climb

Some of you mfs are just not cut out for this sort of thing whatsoever, you want to believe having your goals fulfilled will be the greatest thing ever but it won’t.
You’ll have a complete OC then want to work on something else, which would require you to put effort in, so whatever direction you go in, it’ll be fruitless without your contributed effort.
