Before we continue our day i’d like to pay respects to haruo nakashima. He passed in 2017 and was the first ever Godzilla suit actor. It wasn’t easy to be one…he had to fight against the weight of the suit, the hotness inside the suit, and the fact his face wouldn’t be shown. But he triumphed over those issues and made Godzilla 1954 a hit with his acting. Even after 1954 he had to do more, like almost bone shattering stunts and even being lit on fire…Its miraculous he survived all that. Godzilla 1954 and him defined tokusatsu for what it is today. Power rangers, ultraman, kamen rider, etc. those wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for tsuburaya and this man. He defined a generation of fans, may this legend rest well. Amen.
