Fun Fact: Due to the early morning mist, the gunpowder residue, and all the dirt rising up from the gunfight of the previous night, when Ned Kelly walked up to the police for his final stand, they had no idea Ned was wearing a bulletproof armor (since it was his first time using it), and as they fired at the bulletproof, 7ft tall armored beheamoth that some men described as “A figure resembling that of the ghost of Hamlet’s father”, most of them were convinced they were fighting something non-human, with some constables exclaiming “That’s a damn Bunyip!” Or “That aint Ned Kelly, that’s Satan himself!”

he is very controdictory, and has made conflicting statements and stances all throughout his carrier, in a way you can think of it as betraying true ideals in favor of profit, or power, whatever it may be. he and many others that shall not be named use these things as tools, for leverage, i could go on and on but i would probably start a drama or something from an argument and I dont want that, i just didnt want to stay silent and, im bored!

You know what? Im gonna say it, the Colt Walker sucked.
It was produced first in 1846, and it stayed in service roughly till the american Civil War, but the problem is that it fucking SUCKED.
First off? The loading lever tended to drop down after every 2-3 shots, so you couldnt cock the hammer for atleast a few seconds while you put that back in its place, which is less than ideal while a Mexican Rifleman is charging at you with his bayonet.
Secondly? It tended to blow up.
So, the army wanted a pistol large enough to take down a horse in a single shot, so the walls of the cylinder were extremely thin.
Which wouldnt normally be an issue right? But thing is, if you put even a little more gunpowder in there? It\’ll blow up you gun and your hand, which is not good when a Native is running at you with a tomahawk.
And this was no rare occurence either, out of the 1,100 first produced, only 950 returned after the war, and only 500 were available as surplus in the civilian market (150 Blown up, 450 lost at sea)
Thirdly, the weight distribution was horrible, it was too front heavy, and the sights sucked, which made it impossible to aim succesfully.But sure, you can argue that it was far better than a single shot pistol.

the Dragoon is MUCH much better, and when you consider that it was first produced in 1848, and around 18,500 were made in just the U.S alone (not counting the European reproductions), not only were they far more commonly issued, but also way more likely to be seen among the westerners.
TLDR: The Dragoon was better than the Walker.

The Mexican-American War Starts!
The Mexican–American War (Spanish: guerra de Estados Unidos-México) also known in the United States as the Mexican War, and in Mexico as the United States intervention in Mexico, was an invasion of Mexico by the United States Army. It followed the 1845 American annexation of Texas, which Mexico still considered its territory because it refused to recognize the Treaties of Velasco, signed by President Antonio López de Santa Anna after he was captured by the Texian Army during the 1836 Texas Revolution. The Republic of Texas was de facto an independent country, but most of its Anglo-American citizens who had moved from the United States to Texas after 1822 wanted to be annexed by the United States.
On May 13, 1846, the United States Congress passed An Act providing for the Prosecution of the existing War between the United States and the Republic of Mexico, thereby declaring war against Mexico. The declaration resulted in the Mexican–American War (1846–48). The act laid out regulations for the size and organization of the militia to participate in the war, how they were to be recruited, and the amount of money appropriated for the war—10 million dollars. The act was amended on June 18, 1846 (9 Stat. 17) to clarify and expand the organizational structure provided for by the original law.
