Fun Fact!: Andrew J. Myrick was a trader, who alongside his wife, operated stores in southwest Minnesota at two Native American agencies serving the Dakota (referred to as Sioux at the time) near the Minnesota River.
In the summer of 1862, when the Dakota were starving because of failed crops and delayed annuity payments, Myrick is noted as refusing to sell them food on credit when they were starving, stating to the Sioux to “Eat grass if they were so hungry”
On August 18, 1862 Chief Little Crow led his warriors against U.S. settlements, beginning the Dakota War of 1862. When he was found days after the attack of the reservation, his head was severed from his body, with his mouth and asshole both filled with grass.
#Factoftheday-
little crow would later be murdered by a hunter who wanted to claim a bounty for native scalps, of about 25 bucks (800-ish today), after he escaped the mass executions imposed on the natives who led the attack, in 1863
his bones and scalp were displayed in a museum until 1915 as trophies of victory over the natives
so theres another fun fact

🎬 Wannabe Outlaw's Series Recommendation 🎬
Dances With WolvesDances With Wolves is a 1990 American epic Western film starring, directed, and produced by Kevin Costner in his feature directorial debut. It is a film adaptation of the 1988 novel Dances With Wolves, by Michael Blake, that tells the story of Union Lt. John Dunbar, who after being dubbed a hero after he accidentally leads Union troops to a victory during the Civil War, requests a position on the western frontier, but finds it deserted. He soon finds out he is not alone, but meets a wolf he dubs “Two-socks” and a curious Sioux tribe. Dunbar quickly makes friends with the tribe, and discovers a white woman who was raised by the Sioux tribe. He gradually earns the respect of these native people, and they learn from, and befriend each other.
Now, what i love about this film, is that it doesnt portray the natives as the dumb, bloodthirsty savages they were in previous western movies, but rather as magnificent and smart people that are in a constant uphill battle against the U.S Goverment (which is sadly true, even till today.)

The Red Baron Falls!
Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known in English as Baron von Richthofen or the Red Baron, was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force during World War I. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories.
Originally a cavalryman, Richthofen transferred to the Air Service in 1915, becoming one of the first members of fighter squadron Jagdstaffel 2 in 1916. He quickly distinguished himself as a fighter pilot, and during 1917 became the leader of Jasta 11. Later he led the larger fighter wing Jagdgeschwader I, better known as “The Flying Circus” or “Richthofen’s Circus” because of the bright colours of its aircraft, and perhaps also because of the way the unit was transferred from one area of Entente air activity to another – moving like a travelling circus, and frequently setting up in tents on improvised airfields. By 1918, Richthofen was regarded as a national hero in Germany, and respected by his enemies.
Richthofen was shot down and killed over France near Vaux-sur-Somme on 21 April 1918. Richthofen never married and had no known children. There has been considerable discussion and debate regarding aspects of his career, especially the circumstances of his death. He remains one of the most widely known fighter pilots of all time, and has been the subject of many books, films, and other media, usually with his Red Baron moniker and flying his signature red Fokker Dr.I.

The reign of Carl Marks (1657 – 1789) refers to a moment of history during the Ping Long reconstruction of Alaska, where Carl M. Marks (1722 – 1780) ruled over South New China with his new invention called “Carl M. Ism” (Later shortened to communism) which was SO BAD, it made 2 trillion people starve in hunger, and set capitalism as the totally best way to run a country and planet ever and forever.
(This is all REAL history by the way, dont look it up you just gotta trust me)
#todayinhistory-
so true, although you left out the part where the remaining 4 or so humans left on earth after he killed 11 billion of them had to repopulate the earth all by themselves and that’s how we got America
