I never thought writing for this series would be so hard.I’m really good at the finer details but I really have no idea how to introduce the concept of magic and how it relates to kin’s curse and that’s kinda required to set this series in motion.So if anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them because I’m stumped.

Regin was born in the Kingdom of Steele’s capital and was of common birth.This meant that he and his family were not allowed to reside in the inner circle.The City was surrounded by 3 distinct magic “gates” that only allow for people of a certain level of magic power to pass through them.The 3rd gate or the common gate allowed anyone to pass through,even animals.The 2nd gate only allowed those with the strength of 25 junior mage students to pass,this gate is also known as the B rank gate,as it only allows B-ranked mages or people as strong as B rank to pass through.The 1st gate only allows A and S rank mages to pass through,people such as the King,Arch bishops of Argus and The Warriors of Steele.However,The King has enough power to nullify the effects of the gates at any time but,on that night he did nothing while the capital was being ravaged by the children of midnight.The city was set ablaze,with the common area being the first to go down.Hundreds died,Including Regin’s parents.The house collapsed in on them while they were asleep,and only he survived.His sister was nowhere to be found after the attack.Afterwards he began to despise the royals,They left the gates active even though the people were crying out for help.The king only cared about himself.Regin does not despise the two mages that caused this destruction nearly as much as he hates the king.He has made it his goal to become as strong as possible and uncover the King’s secrets and find out why he was absent on that night.
