I updated and made a few slight tweaks to the earlier design. I added an outline to make it more clear that these are meant to be like paper cut outs. I also added some cool textures that I think really make it pop. So this is probably the final design aesthetic that I’ll go with for the other characters. And I also did a front view.

Thanks, I plan to draw the sprites in ibis paint and then animate them in sticknodes

The top pic is the first design I came up with for the character, the second is the newest design and the last one is a handrawn, more detailed version of the same character that I made before deciding to make sprites

Okay so it’s been a bit and I just wanted to give an update. Still in the design phase, trying to figure out how to navigate this thing.
So I wanted to give the characters a more handrawn kinda feel, almost like paper cutouts but I don’t know how heavily I want to lean into it. I also don’t really know if I’m feeling the current art direction with my sprites so I just want some feedback
Another thing I didn’t mention is the fact that this is supposed to be a miniseries so consider all my posts going forward to be referencing the pilot episode. And it’s already fully written and fleshed out so expect sone lore dumps soon

Last two got swapped but basically the top design is the original for the bottom one
And the second design is the original for the one after it
