New model currently in development

Don\’t know if anyone still remembers this series at all but, it\’s been months since the last episode and yeah…the reason for that is because my friend had all the files for the majority of episode three which was basically finished but his phone stopped working and we couldn\’t recover them. After that we just stopped working on sticknodes altogether. But we decided to finally do something with this series since I spent a really long time building out the lore and developing the characters for this series, it would be a waste to just give up on it now. So we are going to \”start over\” by making a sort of recap episode as well as extending episode three itself and adding more of the story and lore for specific characters. Also I\’ve been working on building out lore and writing a story about a new character I plan to add to my Creature verse. So yeah I\’m gonna be back on the website more often, and expect more posts and updates from this group as well as others. Expect to see LOTS more of Kin for the rest of 2022. Gonna experiment more with different storytelling techniques so I can show as much of the world and lore as possible for this series, things that happened in the past, important individuals, historical figures from within the series etc.

Sub-Entry: I found this \”Thing\”(Can you call it that?) in Ares Park the other day, the same place where Elzie\’s mom sometimes sells her crafts. Anyway, this thing is sort of like another space almost. I don\’t exactly leave the park when I go there but, I can feel my surroundings starting to shift and twist…have to investigate more.

The area is a sort of \’dead space\’ where the entirety of Ares park gets blocked out, visually the park doesn\’t change at least not at first. I asked some of the older kids in the area and they said that, the area in the park was where all the kids would go to play laser tag during Halloween nights eight years prior. They also said it was just some scary Halloween story made to trick the younger kids into giving up all their candy…but I highly doubt that. The story goes like this:

Thursday, October 31 1963

Two boys, Erin and Charlie head out for trick or treating one Halloween night. They went deep into the woods(the now rundown area of Ares Park), and set up shop, inviting all the kids of the neighbourhood to come out to the woods and into the forest. The boys set up black curtains and sheets up over trees and gathered all their laser pointers and attached them to toy guns for some makeshift laser tag. Once all of the kids gathered, they competed, betting their candy, winner takes all. As the number of contestants started to dwindle, the two boys who started it all were nowhere to be seen. At around 15 contestants, all the lights went out and the area of the park turned into a giant maze. However, the kids who attempted the maze without fixing the red light of their laser pointers were taken and fixed. The only ones to escape were those who had already lost all their candy. So began a tradition of avoiding that area of the forest at night.

I first discovered this during the daytime, the effects of the area may be….no WILL be more dangerous at night, I could barely get out of it during the daytime. DO NOT ENTER!

Micah was one of the five children to have started new diaries within the years following the 1970\’s and 80\’s. Normally, to take note of any creature you discover, you need to be given a Creature Diary. They are usually given out at local hangout spots such as playgrounds or parks. The older kids(teens) would then give a selection of kids the diaries after asking them certain questions and making statements like \”Do you have an imaginary friend?\” \”Do they hurt you?\” and \”Toys don\’t cry.\” A creature diary is a black journal with bold red letters that read, \’Creature Diary\’. Micah was one of these kids to receive a diary, however, he was given one to complete by a stranger. He would spend days cooped up in his attic reading over the previous entries and vague illustrations. He was curious. But, he was smart enough to know that he shouldn\’t go looking for creatures, especially dangerous ones.
Micah was a peculiar child, he didn\’t really like playing with the other kids growing up, he\’d much rather go exploring on his own or just let his mind wander in his own little world. It was on one of these journeys that he encountered his first creature, The Wanderer. Since then, Micah could feel the creature stalking him whenever he went out into the woods and, sometimes it would appear only to disappear in front of Micah\’s parents but he saw; The creature never left. It just stood before Micah and his confused parents in silence. The Wanderer was the first creature Micah wrote about, and for the first time, Micah experienced something that challenged his curious nature and tendency for exploration. This feeling, it was dread. A unique feeling of fear that sank to the very bottom of his being.
