I came back back after I’ve watched the Minecraft movie.
I have to say, whoever produced this movie did not make it with intention of it being any loyal to the original IP.
The story was horrible, not even generic, straight up below generic and that’s saying a lot.
The actors were awful, it’s seem like they picked anyone they can find on the street and rolled with it.
The CGI was okay, sometimes tho you can see the green screen and see unpolished part of it.Usually, I am a man who give franchises a chance to shine, but there’s almost nothing good to say about this movie.
Who even decided it was a good idea to cast Jack black as steve?Overall, anyone who plans to watch the movie, I don’t recommend so, and if you do, hope you enjoy some parts of it.

The fact you just said that sentence has me questioning the validity of this review, I’m seeing it later anyway so we’ll see if your opinion holds.
He doesn’t even fit the character, compare that for example the Steve released by Official Minecraft YouTube, it seems their iteration of Steve of him being more than just two dimensional person.
I do recommend come to this post after you review the movie. And write your opinion.
Brother, you’re referring to a block man where the only amount of discussion around this guy was whether or not his moustache is moustache or a mouth, or I guess whether his mouth is a moustache.
I see where you’re coming from but it’s just not something we’ll see where film production companies will take creative liberties enough to actually enhance a franchise, game etc and expand the lore, in any case the film was pretty charming and entertaining nonetheless.

Jack black is a part of the problem, not however the bigger picture.
ill give jack black a pass because apparently jack black as steve was a last minute thing but i dont know if thats 100% true
in any sense i havent seen it yet but to be honest i feel like the hate is unwarranted
yeah it might not be the most faithful to the original or it might be really corny and childrens-show-esque but im going into it with the expectation that its going to be fun
i mean, at least we get to see SOME FORM of minecraft in live action… the props do look cool (minus the broccoli? wtf?) and the mobs also look really fun, i love the bee
tl;dr lets not judge movies by their trailers or by what reviewers say and that goes for games, and even books as the original saying

I watched it fully, I didn’t judge the movie based off the trailer, but I expected it to at least listen to the criticism we yelled.
the tl;dr wasnt directed specifically towards your post it was just encapsulating what i wanted to say and was more-so my personal opinion on the matter given that… i havent seen it and also that its only been out for a day
If I was the one making the minecraft movie it would’ve been NOTHING like this
It should’ve been a trilogy where the ancient builders (basically just modern humanity) kill themselves off with nukes and jets and shit, and millennium pass before Steve and Alex show up as the Adam and eve of notch, and slowly cobble humanity back together
Basically it should’ve been a 3 part apocalyptic action adventure with a cohesive story
But i geuss we have to settle for Jack black saying “ÇĤÍĶÌÑ ĴØĶÈË!!!!!”

Maybe one made for kids, honestly this movie is on par with Emoji movie in term of corniness, Minecraft Fans just eating an actual shit and would cope by saying how it’s not that bad.

dungeons and legends for the lore because thats where all the lore cokmes from which tbh i feel like people shit on both of those games too much since i enjoyed dungeons when i played it a bit
