In my opinion, I\’d say the shorter version looks better if you want to make a fast paced intro however if you want to make a bit of a longer introduction then I\’d say the longer version is good for that.

Separate the front arm from the rest of the figure, put it a layer above the gun and join the shoulder to the body’s

Edit stick figure, copy arm. Create new stick figure, paste arm onto a non-static node.

It’s easy make the front arm a separate model and layer it infront of the gun.
