Awesome start, the eyes are a great simple way to portray the situation. If you want some feedback I suggest working on the footing and make the kick pop, Remeber we have to “charge” up the kick for the damage. That being said I’m no expert take the feedback as you like 🙂

Just have fun! Ya gotta chill bro, don’t take stuff to heart so hard. Who cares what one or “they” if you are happy with your work show it! We worry to much on the opinions of others it takes the fun aspect out of things. I understand what you are saying but you don’t have to take all critizim. Make your opinion on there opinion whether they are valuable to your project. Some need more “details” and “story” some need less. Just cause one person likes things done that way down mean the others agree, find your balance enjoy your time other wise you will hate it and never return. The 12 principles of animation are guidelines not rules.

You can still have the guy catch the sword. Animation has no limits. Just remember to anticipate and follow through

This is awesome dude, don’t listen to the haters. Also the figs are fine, I’ve seen alot of animation with mad details but still dog poop cause they can’t animate. I love the simple style just make sure if you have a main character give them something unique. Usually head accessories is the easiest way to portray this. https://youtu.be/xftLJ41F1sg simple yet perfection, also those insane detailed figs have alot of movement limits when it comes to actually animating, have fun stretching an arm with loads of details, ain’t going to work
