@Ralph Copied from my original post so it was on here as well.
My suggestions are:
The ability to insert a node, especially to the square starty node whatever that thing is called.
Being able to stretch a node/segment without it rotating.
For some reason the pro version constantly resets and shows me the beginner tips like I’ve never used it before. This just gets annoying occasionally but not a big deal.
The option to be able to connect the last node to another node.
That’s all. Other wise I love the application fabulous job, my 8 year old sons and I are having a blast learning.
@Ralph also would there be a way to have a circle with a node in the middle so it rotates from the center? Does that make sense? Sorry I’m a newbie that has difficulty using words.
Non relevant suggestion someone make me a Stick Nodes dictionary.
I am confused
I have the tendency to do that. May I offer to confuse you more by attempting to unconfuse you? What needs clarification? I will try to explain but I prefer interpretive dance.
if you want a circle that’s centered you can just tap the node while using the rounded line segment (and if you’re a perfectionist like me you can zoom in and move it so the node is perfectly centered), and increase the line thickness
You are a genius. How did I not figure this out? Thank you.
not trying to one-up you like for real you give good advice
but if you want it so that you can use gradients without it breaking then optionally you can use this method
you’d make the actual circle node static and the parent node to the circle the one that you actually rotate
if that makes sense in the slightest
idk
That’s awesome and also something I feel like I should’ve figured out. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time figuring out a solution it wasn’t necessary to my creation and probably 4 in the morning lol.
I’m so appreciative of everyone’s comments though so helpful when you’re new. It’s awesome to be able to come to the sight for advice.
I wish I had what you had when I first started
I had to teach myself :/
And I’m still far from perfect
man you beating me to all the answers AND providing good GIFs wtf is this you about to be promoted to Sean
thank
That’s physically possible by making the node clear and shrinking it then putting the circle over it to make it rotate
You have much to learn lady
Edit:Albo you fricking frick you beat me
I fully embrace my inexperience as learning is the fun part. With the inexperience comes confusion…. if I make a clear node and add a circle the circle would rotate around the clear node and not from the center of the circle right? Or are you suggesting something else? The previous suggestion of using the rounded segment to make a circle makes sense to me.
the rounded segment is easier to center, since you’re just placing a circle onto a circle (or a square if the circle is going onto the base node)
I would recommend adding the circle last tho
Can you send a screenshot of what you’re trying to do?
Currently I am not using any creations in need of a rotating circle. It was just something I encountered at one point in my short time using the application.
I tend to just enable the circle outline and increase it’s thickness till it leaves a small circle in the middle about the size of the centre node. Then with the circle in the middle. I stretch the node the should rotate the circle away from the centre till the inner part of the circle outline is matched with the centre node.
tip:make a circle and copy, past 2 on the circle’s node and delete 1 node the middle circle
Dang, so, you’re like a grown ass woman (seeing as you have kids, Ima assume yer married), and you’re hanging out with blokes like us?
I is woman.
I have kids, twins. In a serious relationship but not yet married. And a girly makeup wearing nerd that likes stuff like this and gaming. However grown? Not sure what the qualifications are… I’m 4’10” and semi immature but like I have a mortgage and shit.
Congrats
On being woman? Well thank you, I was born this way.
On having a serious relationship lol.
And a house to yourself (Atleast away from your parents)
Well that makes more sense. 🤣
Although if my mom were still around I would totally move into her basement. Adulting is no where as cool as I thought it would be. Like yeah I can totally do anything I want but instead I have to work to buy toilet paper.
I grow toilet paper in my garden
Tried that once, turned out it was poison oak… bad experience 0/10 would not recommend.
there’s been a lot of answers above and thanks to all
here’s my take tho
1) The ability to insert a node, especially to the square starty node whatever that thing is called.
This I’m not sure what you mean. To insert a STICKFIGURE (which is made of nodes), you would create/import one and then add it to the stage from under “Library Tools”

2) Being able to stretch a node/segment without it rotating.
I know what you’re asking here, and you have me thinking if I can add an option to a node to prevent it from rotating if it’s being stretched/moved, might be an interesting mechanic I’ll have to explore.

3) For some reason the pro version constantly resets and shows me the beginner tips like I’ve never used it before. This just gets annoying occasionally but not a big deal.
This shouldn’t happen, do you have some kind of “security” app on your device (like a parental lock, or a “time capsule” thing that Macs have where it resets after a given period of time to prevent users from changing/breaking things)?

4) The option to be able to connect the last node to another node.
The nature of stickfigures are they’re made of nodes that branch off of each other, each with 1 “parent” node, there’s no kind of “double connection” node BUT I do have such a thing on my “to maybe do one day” list.
overall good questions tho not just the typical “ralf add sprites” stuff lmao
So uh… what’s a sprite? Like the fairy?
Is this something I should be asking for?! Lol
Sprites are basically images and stuff. The way Ralph worded it (ralf add sprites), he means image files (png, jpg, that sort of stuff) that can be imported into the app and animated. If my memory serves me right, this feature is in his “Stick Nodes PC if I ever make it lol” pile
