one way of doing is like making it custom in the settings, have like recommended settings based on the device and then a max and a minimum amount of nodes you could have
-
@ralph make the node limits larger pls, i am limited in my animations really hard rn

uhh
it might be happening soon maybe
one way of doing is like making it custom in the settings, have like recommended settings based on the device and then a max and a minimum amount of nodes you could have
i’m leaning towards a toggle like that, when you switch it SN is like “youre gonna fuck your shit up you aight with that?”
also leaning towards just more nodes per frame
since idk about more nodes per stickfigure, ppl be submitting 600-node figures and then everyone will have to turn on that option on their device to use it
I was going to recommend both more nodes to the stickfigure and more nodes per frame but I have no idea how difficult it is to adjust it and how buggy it would make Stick Nodes, could result in project corruption or something
has nothing to do with bugs tho, i can change one number and it’ll be increased
but from a community-stickfigure-submission standpoint, i think it’s best if everyone was on the same playing field there as to not make all submissions 1000 nodes thus preventing those without this setting from using them
more nodes will = more lag tho
point is i just wanted to limit it so people who have no idea how memory/RAM works don’t go and abuse stick nodes, have it crash, and then call me gay
they do it anyway with the limits in place and misunderstand why “my projecc crash at 50 frames ralf pls fix or 1 star”
I see, that’s why I said earlier that there should be a recommended amount of nodes so that the people who have no idea how memory/RAM works don’t go and abuse stick nodes, have it crash, and then call me gay” problem is solved.
There should also be a warning when you go over the recommended, reminding the people that their device might get clapped if they continue
It works out in a way because people who overdo it would be in the wrong and then you wouldn’t get sued for the destruction of personal property, and instead of the $$$ from the lawsuit you get 3 stars instead of 1, (this implies you’ve never gotten above a 3 star, all 5-star ratings are bots)
Maybe have a secret code to access the node limit changer or something.
