    • @epitaph200 hypothetically speaking

      HYPOTHETICALLY

if these trapezoids or whatever you leaf-juicers call it were to come to SN

I see an “issue” where the angle of the two triangles on the sides would need to have their own value (not thickness, not length of the node) there would need to be a trapezoid-only property, which is butts

I guess I’ll have to just add an “trapezoid angle” input field that would be 1-89 degrees, only for trapezoid figures

      is this what you’re thinking?

        no, not trapezoid angle

        hm

it would actually be the length (left-to-right in images above) of the top horizontal line, that’s what would be modifiable

it would range from 100% the size of the base (technically a rectangle at that point) or 1% the size of the base (middle image above basically)

        that’s how it would work

So like… Trapezoids would be like the dynamic width suggestion I had on normal segments-

So can we get round segments too?-

            round segments

that’s either a circle or a rounded segment

either way it’s already there and I’m not listening to your clarification lalalalalalalalala

                ah a trapezoid with roundies

here’s the issue, red lines show how rounded segments are rendered (with circles and rectangles)

                butt

now that I have Supreme Control over the renderer, I can change this (in fact I might optimize how rounded segments are drawn, I can reduce to 1 call vs 3 calls by customizing the code for specifically a “rounded segment” where it renders all the parts of it in one go)

anyway I don’t think I’m gonna get crazy like this just yet because I want to get this next update out very fast so I’ll just add some shapes

While we are on the topic of taking control over rendering… Any possibility of also tweaking triangles too? Since some people would like to have for example the 90 degree segment thing-

    • Hmm… I see an oval… I see a 55 MB memory usage for a project with nothing but a modified default in it… I SEE STRETCHABLE CIRCLES (or maybe just a glitch, or ralph bronking something, or ralph being the troll from trollface quest, or maybe the default is just using a mirror and he has no head)
