More ⦲lma posting because I’m afraid to post LVOA and Staccato and because of that fact I’m dropping a lore concept.
Demi humans with flight capabilities have their own special slingshots on aircraft carriers given they also use runways like planes for force integration purposes, strong initial flights, or races that need the full range of motion to take flight.

The slingshot device is affectionately named the “WingFlinger” by multiple races till the point it’d become its official name and it’s use is preferred by many flight bearing demi human races.
They follow similar take off protocol to Jets if not a little simpler so yes they have their own shooters.
