First Person Body View (forgot its name) + Better Combat + Timeless Gore Engine
Will completely remake your game’s combat with:
Seeing your body in first person
Combat animations
Juicy retro gore engine
These 3 mods make killing mobs no longer a chore and moreover a fun and satisfying thing
Try YUNG’s better structures. Its like 7 diff mods and they overhaul every mc structure in the game to be more fun and modernized
Ome thing i HATE about mc is the mob animations. Try this resource pack called Fresh Animations. Its the BEST resource pack I’ve seen in a while. It adds “trailer style” animations to every mob in the game and they look super lively and nice
Try Better Weaponry, it adds new vanilla texture style weapons to the game that have support for Better Combat. It adds numerous weapons with pros and cons like katanas, machetes, spears, hammers, etc, while maintaining the default mc weapon textures
If you want better worldgen, try Tectonic, it makes your terrain look COLOSSAL and beautiful. If you want new biomes, try Terralith, which has compatibility for Tectonic and adds beautiful and gigantic biomes and mountains to your game

Honestly my fav vanilla+ mod is Valkyrien Skies and Eureka for Valkyrien Skies
Eureka adds moving ships and stuff, you can build/walk/sleep on them while theyre moving in the air or on water
Eureka is the one that actually adds the ships capability, and Valkyrien Skies is moreover a framework for it
It’s really fun
Another mod is Effortless Building, idk if its available for your vers of mc, but its the best mod ever. Search it on YT, theres a couple videos on it showcasing it

Additional Info / YappingI’ve always felt that adding human reactions and emotions to stickfigures will really add “life” to animations
Like, killing for example. I can show an animation of a bunch of citizens doing a walking animation then getting shot in a massacre. It would be a very dark idea, but would it necessarily feel like the citizens had a life? It would just feel like they were a bunch of sticks doing a walking movieclip until getting shot up.
However, if I aninated atleast a minute of the citizens and characters doing human things, like smiling, reacting to things around them, breathing, and acting sad, angry, or happy. Then say I were to animate a massacre of said citizens, wouldn’t it feel more impactful? Like they actually had a life and it was all taken from them.
Anyways, enough yapping here. To summarize all of this, I feel like adding emotion to stickfigures could make things like death, fighting, dialogue, or the overall animation more impactful

I’ve always noticed (and kinda hated) how stiff SN characters can be. What I mean by this is that the stickfigures just never have human emotions or do human things
Whether its fear, breathing, or breathing while youre sitting and scratching your head

You dont have to use its launcher to use its mods
And its launcher isnt an offline/cracked launcher, its jsut like the curseforge launcher (you need the actual game to launch it)

why its faster than curseforge and has more mods

If youre struggling with fps, get a whole optimization modpack
New Lightweight is my all time fav, its a 1.20.1 modpack that adds new content, ALOT OF optimization, and still maintains the vanilla feeling
Least laggiest shaders for me are probably Mellow Shaders, I think theyre on Modrinth
