definitely fast

make the keyframes first
– standing
– gun pointing
– firing
– recoil stance
– back to standing

make those 5 frames
then go back and add the easing/in-between (to be honest, “Add Tweened Frame” will do a lot of the work)
utilizing a method like that will result in a better animation (smoother, better easing) done in a much faster time

Well, most people said that tweening makes most movement unnatural (aka robotic), which is actually the truth. Please note that this is for the “add tweened frame” part, not auto tweening.

For auto tweening, this has connection with the basic frame rate of your animation. The lower the frame was, the more awful it was. Yes, I said the truth. Check out Erdi Lesmana’s animations. They’re awful, and replicated my animating capability from my early days.
