Cloning is possible. By birth at least. To know this you must look at a strand of DNA. It looks like a twisted ladder correct? Well imagine that the handles are your generic makeup. Each handle tells where a Certain bunch of cells go. One handle will tell where some bone cells go. Another will tell where some brain cells go. Etc. well take that strand of DNA and switch it of that of a sperm. The birth would theoretically result in a baby with the exact same generic code as its predecessor. Am I right?

We’ve cloned an animal before( by we I mean humanity)
I know. It was a sheep. But I think I have theoretically cracked human cloning.
No we’ve cloned an extinct animal that died a few minutes later but we did it
But if it were that easy I think we would be imortal by now
Also the clone would be a baby, so you couldn’t just make a copy of yourself
Good point it wouldn’t be the same person
Because of the environment it gets raised in and also the parents or legal guardian
It would be the same person PHYSICALLY, but not MENTALLY.
I hope you know I’m not trying to be mean but I’m just talking to you about it, psychically it wouldn’t be the same because the brain affects so much, well it will probably have the same benefits of the past body, yet it’ll be different alot of the time if not all the time because they’ll make different options causing different outcomes like them becoming overweight, skinny, or muscular.
Ah, I see what you mean. But it would be the same in the beginning. Like a base model. Then throughout the subjects lifespan, with different options and outcomes, the subject would then change physically.
Yes you are correct it is practically the same baseplate of the human, and it would be very rare to get them the same but is possible.
Also, the human race has been able to clone for some time. The government has said that its illegal do to the fact that if said clone were to become unethical or in a human sense “evil” the fingerprint could be traced back to you. The second reason is that if we were to harvest organs from said clones for heart transplants, brain transplants etc. it would be in a human sense “cruel” Or “inhuman”. Then could result in a Revolt by the clones and the rights groups for said clones. It would be bloody.
What did you think I meant when I said “cloning by birth”?
