Towering among everyone is this newcomer to the StickNodes world.

Giraffatitan.

Giraffatitan is a colossus from the land of Africa, where the “Giant Giraffe” and its namesake browse from the treetops. One of the tallest sauropods, with very few towering over its nearly 40ft high stature.
Once thought to be a large subspecies of African Brachiosaurus, it is now well known to be a completely different dinosaur.
Like many brachiosaurs, it was thought that their nostrils were at the top of the crest on their head, but it is cureently thought that their was a resonating chamber instead up there with the nostrils in the snout.

And here, a Giraffatitan cranes its long neck down to pluck some succulent ferns from the forest floor.

Chasing down the supersized veggie eater is an alpha carnivore.

Saurophaganax.

Saurophaganax means “Lord of the Meat-Eaters”, which is a very good description as it is the top predator of the American Late Jurassic ecosystem. They are a bigger, harder version of Allosaurus with the weaponry to take down the prey that lived alongside such as Apatosaurus, Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Camarasaurus, Stegosaurus, Dryosaurus, and many more.
From the Genus Allosauridae and relates to its cousin Allosaurus, some paleontologists believe it to be a large Allosaurus, but this is not yet confirmed to be the case.

And here, a pair of male Saurophaganax vie for the affections of a female who seems to not be that interested in the shouting match.
