M16s
M16s are more well known. They also have a lot more history especially with their modernized models for today, running along the M4. At some point the M4 will probably take its place. But not too sure with the M16 having modern models. So the M16 are more used.
I wonder why I see alot of US Soldiers having M4s then
That’s their current standard issue rifle.
Compared to the amount of time the M16 was the standard issue rifle for the US, the M16 wins. But it has been replaced by the M4 mostly in the 2000s.
