I decided to use the female base stickfigure instead of normal, just felt like changing things up a bit.
As for why the legs are on the side, it makes the legs look more feminine as it makes it seem wider near the waist.
It’s hard to tell because of the colouring of the female base but it’s definitely got fairly feminine features:
– Thin arms
– Defined shoulders
– Wide legs near the top
– Hourglass shaped torso (narrow waist)
– Smaller head and hands
– Decreased height (around 5 “ 4, the male base is around 6 “ 0)

As of what you’re talking about, the reason why most people do this is because us humans have a part on our lower torso called the hips which is connected to the buttocks, and their trying to resemble that so it looks more human, or realistic since most of you call it that.

Not always the case sure, but generally males are usually taller than females.
