My parents have stopped me and my siblings from using our devices past 5:30pm because they apparently “destroy our eyesight” despite them having no real effect on us and our lacking vision clearly being hereditary for some reason (i.e all 4 of us have or will have shit eyesight). This dumb phone thing was apparently preached by my brother’s optician, but my parents were really the ones who took it to the extreme. The problem is that I can’t handle confronting them because of emotionally abusive stuff they’ve done before, and it’s not as though they’d listen to what I have to say, especially not my father who’s the worst out of the two of them. It doesn’t help that we’ve got 6 hours of school and only 2 hours to ourselves, which is the really shitty part. It’s not as though I’m here all too often, or that this is anything interesting, but this is just me sharing my own current circumstances. It’s pretty bad, I’m sure you can tell. So, any plans I have now will be drastically slowed indefinitely.
