It all depends on style, style gets developed by time and experimenting. Find your comfort level. Every style might have issues and sometimes you’d have to set on making changes or finding ways to overcome them.
Though good start is to actually just look up 12 principles of animation.
It’s kinda like elementary school for beggining animators. Alan becker covered it quite nicely.

Just like what arcionek said, find your own style, look what’s better for you, tweening or non-tweening, the best way to learn how to animate is by practicing, jusg keep doing what your doing and eventually you will get better

That’s probably just my style but the lack of gradients makes him look flat like he’s a drawing on a piece of paper.
Although, the whole bug style with an M16 was funny and interesting.

I’ve never played any of the Fallout games.
I probably should. Which one is a good start, since I’m on the current gen console of PS4?
Fallout 3 then Fallout New Vegas then Fallout 4 and you can mod in Fallout 4 on consoles and if you want If you got a pc get Fallout 1 and 2
Fallout on PC is top notch. DO NOT GET FALLOUT 4 ON PS4. You don’t have any mods that really add to the game. Primarily cause mods with custom assets are forbidden. Not on Xbox though.
I play Fallout 4 on Xbox one and it’s starting to crash a lot because of how much I play it
Wait. Seriously? Fallout 4 is one of the more stable Bethesda games I know.
If you want, you can base them off of what I made here a while ago.

Overall the designs seems to be getting better and better.
I want to base it off you’re but I didn’t know if you would let me
Nah. You can go right ahead actually.
Thank you!
You’re welcome.
