a guy wasn’t happy about the balancing of helldivers 2, so he challenged the devs on reddit to beat the game on the hardest difficulty, and if they succeeded, he would donate $1000 to a charity of their choice.

they doxxed him, sent him death threats, called him slurs, threatened his family, got him banned from the horse sanctuary he was volunteering at since 2011, and got him fired from his job, basically ruining this guys entire life over a challenge on reddit.
