The following is a transcript from a GDF teams radio, heard by an unknown responder. Dated March 4th, 1993
Unknown: Ok, is the radio on?
Responder: Yeah, we can hear you.
Unknown: Can you hear the rest of the team?
[Faint people chatting, unintelligible]Responder: Yes, where are you guys right now?
Unknown: We’re currently in [REDACTED] looking for the Obelisk, it’s been inactive for a while now.
Responder: Why do you search there specifically?
Unknown: The last traces of it seem to lead here, there’s also-
Responder: Hello?
[Silence for 22 seconds]
Unknown: Sorry, some fucker [Redmass] jumped out at us.
Responder: Is anyone hurt?
Unknown: No, but theres a shit ton of buildings that are overrun by these weird vine things. I know its Redmass, but I’ve never seen this variant before.
Responder: That’s not new. Those things your describing are leftover from the Obelisk, we call them “Branchers.”
Unknown: Are they.. alive?
Responder: Yes. They act as a sort of.. hivemind.
[In the background members are telling the Unknown person to come over]
Unknown: Hold up a sec.. their telling me to come over.
[Silence for 13 seconds]
Unknown: We found it!
Responder: Where?
Unknown: It’s behind some buildings.. I think its in hibernation.
Responder: Why do you think that is-
Unknown: Shit! It woke up, fuck! Its killing the team!
Responder: Should we send back up?
Unknown: What the fuck!? It just.. stopped!
[Silence 21 seconds]
Unknown: Holy shit…
Responder: Whats happening?!
Unknown: It’s.. evolving..
The rest of the audio was removed, deemed as “confidential information.”

RET – RET (Runner Extermination Team) is the group that deals with the Runners, a variant of the Humanoids. They are about the height of an average human, they can run at fast speeds and have extremely tough skin thats hard to pierce with blades or bullets. The Runners can be injured by some weapons, such as chainsaws, blunt force weapons, and explosives. As a result, the military has designed chainsaws and blunt force weapons for the RET to use in combat against the Runners. The RET often uses these weapons, rather then tanks to deal with Runners. Note: the RET is a rank in the HDF (Humanoids Defense Force), and you’ll find more of these ranks in later posts.

GDF – The GDF (Godzilla Defense Force) is the group of personnel that defend or slow Godzilla in the event of a conflict with him. The GDF often use vehicles such as tanks, aircraft, or submarine to slow Godzilla. The GDF is also trying to track Godzilla all the time, to try and research him, and to see how to stop him.
Here’s the emblem for the GDF. (Kinda boring, I know, but its all I could think of)

Question, phoenic. What time does this series take place, like 1970-1999? I need an time real quick so I can use gear appropriate to that year for the defense force.

Might be a kinda long answer, but try to stick with me.
Godzilla surfaces in October 1992, resurfacing 3 days later. Sometime after that, Godzilla is bombed by B2’s, causing the first “offspring,” which (check the group desc if u dont know what im talking about) are the Redmass. After that, the GDA (Will be explained later) is founded, and Godzilla is temporarily frozen, and the Humanoids begin shedding off its tail, resulting in the formation of other defense teams. Note that these are in Japan, which probably has a different looking military then in the USA.
