I also have an update about the snake skeleton in my backyard
I don’t 100% know what killed it, but I have some ideas.
1. It got stuck while shedding and died.
Evidence supporting it: the skeleton is wrapped in a mostly complete shed of its body
Evidence against it: it’s skull is completely shattered.
2. A predator attacked it.
Evidence supporting it: its skull is shattered.

I just saw the most ominous thing I’ve ever seen in my life
I’m in my backyard, it feels like a whimsical, happy evening, the suns shining, the sky is a nice shade of blue, the grass is a bright shade of green, I’m finding cicada shells on the trees.
And then I heard thunder, I turned around, looking for where it came from, and I see what I can only describe as this thick sheet of near-black gray taking up the entire sky emerging from past the treeline, it wasn’t like a lumpy collection of storm clouds, it was this one big grey sheet just behind the treeline-
