yesterday night, my youngest brother got in an argument over the video he sent (nazis and such). my brother called his fists because he was mad about my dad not understanding the situation.
my dad got pissed off, of course, and told him that “if you hit me first, im not going to be afraid to hit you back.”
i think that is absolutely awful and that shouldn’t be something that should even be in his mind talking to his OWN FUCKING FLESH AND BLOOD.
if anyone does get hurt, i don’t want to call the cops and anyone else to call the cops because the worst they could do is send one of my brothers to jail or even shoot them.
that’s what scares me the most at the moment.

If you have some sort of blunt force (or even sharp) weapon you can use, keep it near you in case things escalate. I keep a baseball bat near my bed just in case anything happens.
At this point, you should bunker down in your room. Lock the doors, keep that weapon with you, and hide in the closet if you need to. Keep yourself safe and call the domestic violence hotline. Don’t try to say anything to your dad and chance him getting mad and hurting you. And something to keep in mind: No matter how good or bad a situation is, it too shall pass! Hey man,
Firstly I wanted to start off by saying I’m really sorry to hear that’s your situation right now. I really can’t begin to imagine being in your shoes right now and experiencing that kind of fear and grief all at once.
This is going to be hard, and it very well could be like this for a while. But the worst thing you can do through all of this is give up. That is just going to add onto your current situation.
There’s a few things you can do here. Firstly, you said you know you’re parents are just going to tell you to go to your room and lock the door. That’s honestly the best thing you can do at the moment. Especially if your brothers are older/stronger then you. Best to just leave that and not have to worry about what’s coming next really. Of course, the best path would be like said below hashing things out with them and coming together through all of this. But only you’d really know if that’s viable right now.
Now with your father, there’s not a whole lot you can do. From how you’ve been describing him it doesn’t seem like you can really have personal talks with him to easily. If you think you can when things calm down and you wouldn’t be screamed at I don’t see why not. But if he’s the type of person to not want to hear it, sadly seems like you’ll have to let him fix this himself.
Finally with your parnets splitting, again there’s not a whole lot that can be done. If your mother is open to having a private chat about that, go for it. I think it would help you a ton to fully understand her stance and the situation better.
Overall, this is defiantly going to be tough, but I know you’ll make it out stronger man. We’re all here for you man and feel free to reach out whenever you need it. I’m praying for the best outcome with this man.

No problem, I’m really hopeful for the best with all of this. To add as well, if the situation is like Caleb said where you’re unsure of if you’re safe physically, for yourself or your bothers, I do think that he’s right in at least having something for protection in your room. And if things escalate to violence with him, I agree with him about calling police + the domestic violence hotline to ensure you’re all safe (this would be preferably before he hurts any of you).
