Actually a design doesnt make your character original as each has been done before or is inspired from something else, It\’s the information about the character and
None of our characters have scarfs btw that\’s a guest from another clan
Each of our characters got 10k characters plus wikis describing there personalitys abilitys origins ect also we dont allow each other to input cliches in our wiki before u start assuming . Also have REAL full body sketches of their designs. Those crappy ass detailed sticks dont make you original little kid compare the actual information behind our ocs. -

i want this community to be one of originality in all aspects, which i probably can’t see through, but if we’re not getting to that, we should be at least civilized with our arguments towards another person’s lack of skill in a certain area.
i want none of this “x animator is trash” i at least want “x animator is not a good example of skill in x area”

I understand the necessity for decency and whatnot, but in all honesty, Epitaph makes it kinda hard to have such conversations. The dude already gossips behind people’s backs about how bad they are, and he results to derogatory comments and spiteful insults when he’s backed into a corner. Straying away from insults and focusing on civility is wonderful, and I fully agree with you that we need a mature style of discussion, but Epitaph doesn’t really help in terms of maturity.

And nothing’s wrong with that at all, you do you and do the style you like to do, it just becomes a problem when someone preaches that everyone who uses a specific style is automatically inferior and bad, and starts forcing an entire to community to either conform or leave. That’s when it becomes a problem.

This post probably is just referring to the people who think they’re better than stickfigure animators simply because they use detail. Essentially the people who assume stickfigure animators are bad because they use stick figures. Quite a few of those people don’t have the best quality animations, but you definitely aren’t one of em.

That has nothing to do with the stickfigure detail and everything to do with the animator. Animators make stories. Not bases and detailed figures. It’s the animator who writes stuff lol. Sure, stick figures haven’t participated in many actual story based animations, but that doesn’t mean they can’t convey a story well.
