5/5 he mentioned me in the description.
Instant 5 stars because of Narcissism
this a feature length movie
okay not really but it’s 40 minutes but very entertaining and I recommend a watch
good balance of plot, action, animation quality, and post-effects/music throughout
really great work @ toxic
only thing I can recommend is to break things up like this into smaller vids
the long length is actually gonna hurt you more than help, with todays quick-consumption online entertainment style
this could have been 4-5 smaller vids, more bite-size plot elements in each with better focus on them per episode, and likely would have netted you more views as well
just you know, small piece of advice, not trying to take away from the monumental amount of work u put into this or anything, but mayhaps something to think about for the future
Also he included me so it’s instantly amazing
make sure the parts aren’t so short that they’re irritating though
i dislike seeing extremely short parts to a series (I.E, less than 2-5 minutes) because they’re either so fast-paced you can barely tell what’s happening, or barely anything happens
This was my first attempt at a movie, the next one shall be better paced
5 stars because true hard work
Reading these is making me smile so much! Thanks guys, this was my first big movie and I’m definitely gonna make a sequel with better pacing! Story arcs ( since the movie began to stretch the story arcs were rushed a lil bit )!
The sequel will be amazing to say the least!
Question. WHERE ARE THE FIGS
Humor is inapplicable to this critique (the main video isn’t completely focused on humor) so I won’t critique it.
In an animation, every minute counts. The longer the animation, the more meaningful each minute should be. If an animation could accomplish in 5 minutes what it does in half an hour, it should take 5 minutes over the half-hour. This was clearly a monumental task, as it is a 40-minute long animation. Unfortunately, there are clear problems with pacing, dialogue, and overall fight sequences that cause this animation to suffer a bit.
Dialogue is relatively bland and basic, and characters presented within the animation become mere caricatures of their images rather than having significant depth. Many line deliveries considering their respective sequences land awkwardly, though there are some moments that are pretty impactful (in particular, when Aunt May gets attacked and says “Ben?” when Peter holds her, that was a great moment). Unfortunately, the consistent 2D aspect of this animation also hinders the overall sequence, as there aren’t many dynamic angles to add energy or power to the animation. Animation quality itself is decent, clearly tweened, but could use a lot more in touch-ups. Effects are decent but basic, and there could overall be more done. Unfortunately, the 40 minutes of time this animation takes up aren’t well used, and the time necessary to watch the animation simply isn’t worth it. There are too many bugs and hindrances that stop this animation from excelling. There clearly is the passion within the animator and motivation considering the monumental task, which is very rejuvenating. If that passion was coupled with more awareness on quality control and creating better dialogue and story sequences, there would be some commendable work being produced. For now, this particular work stands as something that had a lot of work put in with poor execution, and I can’t recommend spending the 40 minutes to watch it.
High 1/5.
PL Team Slave OwnerEven though this is focused on spiderman, it doesn’t seem like a spiderman movie. First, it takes relationships and characters and even plot points from other spiderman movies, but the gore and the the way the violence is handles is not reminiscent of spiderman movies. In a way spiderman movies are somewhat censored and remain pretty wholesome in nature. It’s part of the charm of them, but this fan made movie is dark and a polar opposite which is odd. No in terms of quality, the animation is decent overall. Alot of times the movements are really janky but sometimes they are pretty decent. Fights are shortlived and things end to quickly. Choreography is lacking where characters are suddenly put into the random places which will influence how something ends. Almost like plot armor. Backgrounds are really inconsistent in quality, but often times they do the job (Just not really well). Camera work isn’t anything special but the story on the other hand… Oh boy. First off, characters are brought forward then washed down the drain out of nowhere. If done right, it could show the threat of this newer villian. But it doesn’t make sense to put that into the story anyway. The dialogue is really weak along with the ending. A lot of it is filler dialogue and isn’t written well. Some of the grammar is off as well. Character personalities are almost overexaggerated and it really needed work. Overall this does the cinemstic part pretty well with the music and sound but everything else is average. The length is nice and this could be entertaining to people, but it isn’t anything amazing. Lacking overall in too many fields.
