One of the few weapons i'd call 'beautifully brutal'. The Bec de Corbin is a French polearm used in the Medieval Era in large scale battles, though it could occasionally pop up in a duel (though Polexes were way more commen in this instance).
The Bec de Corbin features the four abilities of a good polearm: a choppy bit, a stabby bit, a whacky bit and a hooky bit. the spike at the front is for swiping into an opponents armour or into their shield to disarm it, the hammer is for bashing and crumpling steel plate armour, the spike at the top is also for penetration and the slight curve of the 'beak' as well as the notch on the hammer can be used to hook onto a shield or opponents armour to control them.
In historical terms, the Bec de Corbin is the closest you'll ever get to a real life battle scythe alongside Kama, Kusarigama and and actual War Scythes (these have an upwards standing blade however for obvious reasons).
the Crow's Beak due to it's unique look, lethality and the fact it's a polearm (stick with a stabby bit) has made it among the Poleaxe, Glaive and Macuahuitl, one of my favourites.
