Originally used by the Solarians, the Neutron Rifle has spread to becoming the AOW standard issue rifle thanks to being fast firing at over 500 rounds per minute and using battery clips instead of charging (mainly cause charging guns wasn't a thing yet). The Neutron Rifle has been mostly used by Solarian Space Pirates, mainly due to being the ones who designed and created it, though there is rumour that it was originally an LAVR prototype as it was far more advanced than anything else the Solarians had.

The Neutron rifle is equipped with a long clip that can be used as a foregrip, a tactical scope that can switch settings and it's signiture oversized heat sink, preventing the gun from exploding from overheating. the end was originally supposed to be more like a Proton Rifle where the barrel is smooth and long. however, the Solarian's recources clearly proved not advanced enough so improvision led to a barrel many would call 'clumsy' or straight up wrong. this trademark feature is fortunately not too heavy and has a large dip in the top so the sight can still work.
