I want to create a place, a group, discord server, something where multiple users can band together and explain their creative process along with various tips and tricks.
If we knew the technique or general process of stickfigure making we could drastically improve the content being produced until the only limitations are external (real life issues, time management etc) and technical limitations (storage etc).
Not sure how to go about it though, a group is limited due to lack of real time updating conversation and video presentation directly from camera roll.
A Discord server isn’t something I know how to set up and it may potentially spiral out of control whereas groups on the sites are more cleaner.

If we can understand a formula, something to rely on for understanding stickfigure creation then developing individual refined styles wouldn’t be as hard.
As a side note:
@ralph would you consider adding compatibility with video export options directly from a camera roll? What about real-time chat, would that be possible at some point in the future?
confused @ the video export options thing – what are we talking about exactly? *from* a camera roll?
real-time chat: what like, on the website here?
that’s actually an idea i was close to adding countless times in the past lol
I mean with the video option, we can directly take videos from a camera roll / photo and video library and view it here rather than turning it to a gif to be viewed.
Unless we already can do that? I don’t know every intricacy.
Get a trusted fellow to set a discord up for you maybe? There isn’t many other options when it comes to communicating in masses besides Discord or Sn. Also, Discord servers (for me atleast) have some sort of curse, and it can get really toxic. I wish there was some middle ground for this but I can’t think of any.
I agree, going off topic and being toxic are major hinderances with Discord, being stern may work but you risk mockery and backlash basically leading to what could be considered civil unrest amongst a Discord server.
what you’re talking about, if im understanding it correctly, honestly sounds like more of a 1-time thing (as in, it would do better in that format)
like a ted talk, but multiple people
like over zoom or something
hypothetically
where talented noders just talk and discuss their process
alternatively, its also better suited for these particular noders to just upload “tutorials” or “watch me do X in sticknodes” videos to their channel
dont’ get me wrong a chatroom or something where senior SN users pop in to offer tips and such is neat too but idk if that’s exactly what you’re going for
Not what I meant but equally an interesting idea.
For example, if it were created in a group here:
A user would post a video of them creating a stickfigure and would provide tips and tricks they use for (node conservation, appearance etc) so that other users could refer to it and other users follow suite so eventually we have a batch of videos and useful information to go off of.
Eventually we may even be able to collectively come up with a criteria or formula if you will when it comes to stickfigure creation and what you can do for different devices and the appearances and styles you can give your stickfigures while also discussing function etc.
