    Practical tutorial: Propeller effect

With this technique you will be able to animate propeller using smart-strech.

-The green segment is the control node and the first blade of the propeller.
-The blue segment must be twice as long as the green one.
-The orange segment is the seconde blade of the propeller and must be the same lenght as the first one.
(All red segment are only here for exemple’s lisibility, and are not necessary to make it work.)

Now you just need to replace the green and orange segment with your blade design (perspective work great with trapezoid)

Add your propeller to your vehicle.
To animate the propeller you just need to retract and extend the blades at hight speed.

This trick can be used for a lot of other thing like deployable wings, here are some use examples:

For anyone who may for some reason be confused about the trapezoids at different places, just remove all length from the red nodes and put the second/first trapezoid at whatever distance you’d like from the other
