『⠀How much do you believe in factual science and recorded logic as opposed to pseudoscience and other less factual forms of interpreted information?⠀』
Basically do you believe in different things like star signs or religion as opposed to ‘ factual ‘ information?

i believe in factual informaton and stuff but also i match up with what pisces traits are and im a pisces so yk
Oh yeah dude nah I don’t research anything people tell me. If you walk up to me and tell me something and you sound confident I’ll believe you. See I’m horrified of getting into a verbal disagreement with a person and for the sake of them liking me I’ll believe them 100%

This is definitely a more shower-thoughts type of question but I’ve been reflecting on this a few times now, mainly in relation to my training and such.
I’ve been pretty big most of my life but where I’m doing powerlifting lately and also that I’m natural, I’ve been considering the limits that I may have considering the rate of progression and my age and it’s interesting to hear all the other takes and where people talk about genetic limits and all this like anyone really ever taps into that.
Considering evolution and adaptation as well it’s like, sure genetics I understand might limit but surely if you’re in it for long enough and if your lifestyle demands it, those limits can be pushed even just a little. Like early man for example, testosterone count and such, they were so much stronger, maybe because they were closer to ape and monkey species but still, it’s just that idea of evolution and forced adaptation based on circumstances.
That and if we consider psedoscience, psychology, there’s so many factors that push humans limits, we always just judge things on a face value basis.
‘ you like this because you get dopamine and 4mg of Neoethyline to your brielium cortex ‘
Especially in the lifting world it’s always ‘ science-based lifting ‘ so it always seems so limiting. I’m probably just not informed enough but I’d rather be a bit of a fool pushing myself to my limits than assume I know my limits, stay comfy and never struggle as much as I could.
I’m 5 ‘ 10, 110kg, a little fat sure but I’m gunning for a 250kg deadlift, 140kg bench press, 200kg squat by the end of this year and my progression is already fast reaching that. Let’s say I even reach half of that, that’s only a year’s worth of progress, what about by the time I’m 30? 40?
‘ your testosterone will drop when you grow older? ‘
Okay what about Mark Felix and other athletes?
‘ Yeah but they’re athletes and on another level ‘
Sure but do you think they knew that? Yeah genetics, yeah facts but come on, how can people always be so sure about their limits? Just push yourself and find out yourself.
Bottom line, push yourself and do things because you know how you feel about them, not because others tell you that you should or would.
This is getting a little too wishy-washy but still, I think my first point stands.
That and even religion, I’m not atheist, I don’t believe in god but I’m not opposed to it either.
Dude shut up and inject your balls with steroids. Don’t think just pump iron and eat straight meat.
I don’t want to die young from lifting, nor cheat my way to becoming stronger, that to me would be the ultimate disrespect to what I’m aiming for and for what I’ve done so far.
I’m only now getting into having a solid diet and plan so I can only imagine I’ll get pretty strong in the next few years.
If I can deadlift 300kg and do some other crazy lifts that’ll be pretty fuckin crazy. I’ve got back into training arms again and I’m looking at those 30kg dumbbell curls.
I’m rambling again, my bad lol
Yes and no tho
I believe in both kind of
I believe God is real but I don’t necessarily think he just poofed us into existence
I think God heavily influenced evolution and may have helped us with stuff here and there
Yes I believe in heaven and hell, yes i believe judgement day is a-comin, but i also believe in evolution. I believe God made evolution to evolve us into existence
I mean think about it, you’re God, you made the big bang happen, you might be exhausted, you know… making existence… exist, so you’d probably take a break for a sec and let things do their own shit for a bit, then you come back, do you really wanna just use even more energy to poof something into existence or would you rather pull things together and use less energy by just influencing things instead of full blown poofing things into existence
Meep
yes 100% WITH a thousand a percent but if its false then its not true because I don’t trust some sources that have not factual info I need like factual info like wikipedia
Or sometimes news sources
