    • pls keep the outline thing too that was good for node conservation

plus this will bronk some stickfigures

Hol on… I know it’s cool and all but… Isn’t it gonna mess up the sticks that focused on the outline thing from circles?

          or did you simply have separate option for outline? And it swapped places with gradients? ;

I hate that circle outline/gradient option it’s causing a ruckus in the code now, both programmititicially and just simplicitynesses

but I have to keep the functionality around for backwards compatibility (I just don’t like how 1 shape has a special “outline? and outline color? property but oh well)

old figures will convert automatically, new figures will simply use the circle-only outline properties

I don’t want to expand the “outline” function to other shapes because it’s really not done efficiently, it just draws the shape again which, just, nah

people already lagging out of their asses I don’t need to double the draw calls lol

Hm. Alright, now the question is…

How do thick yet short round segments look like with gradient? Like, before there appeared a circle inside one of them, kinda annoying for some yet also had use for others (like me when I do screws).

This new renderer will be hell and a blessing lmao.

unfortunately, the only changes there will be made behind the scenes where I can make it all draw in 1 call rather than having to hack it together with 3 calls for 2 circles and a rectangle

visually it will look the same

in theory I could interpolate the color gradient, and apply it to the points in the half-circle’s triangles but even trying to write this out in english is a challenge let alone code it

      FINALLY

now do polyfill gradients and you will recieve a free pass to eat all fallen fritos any time lol

1: polyfill gradients would be a technical nightmare

        sadly, what dezway said

this is a circle not a polyfill

oof, always hoped that was a possibility but I suppose not huh?

i suppose if you divide calculus by the angular momentum of the universe and pi he may be able to accomplish it

      • Replying to: FervorYESSS FINALLY now do polyfill gradients and you will reci

I mean… Polyfill COULD be possible, but would be a nightmare to code. You see, polyfills are made out of triangles… And the gradient has to start from a point, meaning that the app would have to calculate the angles, trigonometry and other stuff so the gradient can “smoothly” transition values from one triangle to another and stuff. Basically lots of mess that would make app lag by applying gradient on polyfills.
