Alrighty, so I have begun making my video on how to animate better, is there anything you guys would like me to inform new comers on, what is your advice?
So far I have said to
1. If your new than try tweening but move on after a while
2. Practice implementing physics into your animations.
3. Take your time, and dont worry animating takes a long time.
@ralph, considering your the developer of Stick Nodes what advice would you give new comers about Stick Nodes and what sets it apart from other animation apps? Also what to look out for when animating with Stick Nodes?
The tutorial is currently over 2 minutes or so long will most likely be much longer. In the future I will post more tutorials, probably on how to submit Stickfigures and download etc. Also will give a sort of tour guide around the site.

Some extras:
1) learn some movement cycle (like walking, running, jumping etc.)
2) Try the Stretchy stuffs (useful for punchs, 3d effects, and holding things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
3) Try to learn physics (it will be realistic if you know about physics like distances, weight, movement, and ragdoll)
4) Try to use 10-15 fps and 2 tweened frames, because it is smooth enough.
5) Try to add sounds (sound effects like spins, punches etc. is very useful to making epic movies)
6) Try some effect figs (like cracks, fire, and splash etc)
get rid of complicated stuff
when you animate everyday and watch the experienced animate, you just kind of improve like some goku asspull
whether tweened or none is up to your style
tweening doesn’t mean you’re turd at animation, remember that
“tweening doesn’t mean you’re turd at animation, remember that”
@isthatajojoreference @zepherthagod
he speaks truth
Tween doesn’t make you bad at animating but it doesn’t allow effects to be used easily, along with other things, tween is only for beginners really. Also real animations other than Stick Nodes I dont think uses tween so its good to get into a habit of not using it as often.
just because popular figures doesn’t use it
does not absolutely mean you should be following them
form your own style, epitaph’s was formed through tweening
admittedly i don’t use tweening, doesn’t mean it’s trash, i just have a differing style
Fine, of course you can have your own style but what I’m saying is Tweening isn’t beneficial, I’m not going to give people false information, I need not explain why I’m sure you already know, now before you tell me something else about how I’m wrong in some sort of way, I dont want to know, I already understand what your saying.
it really depends on how “new” we’re talking these people are
if they’re new to the stick nodes/pivot world, the entire app is weird to them, they need the true basics (how to add a stickfigure, add a frame, how to “properly” animate – foot placement – etc)
if they’re familiar with pivot, then they get the basic idea and you could teach them more “advanced” basic things like tweening and polyfills and camera/auto-camera etc
Im covering both things you just mentioned, I will be making a REALLY basic tutorial after the one I’m about to release, whilst in the one I need to release I am going to be adding a recording of myself using the app doing basic things with subtitles. Honestly I think it will turn out nicely.
Also when do you plan roughly for 3.0.0 to come out?
nice, that would be best I think
as for when
um
great question
late june if I don’t utterly break everything…again
