Because a lot of animators have to set their videos as ‘for kids’, meaning they’re not allowed comments, could you add a comment section for each Animation Spotlight so at least those videos can have some feedback

fun fact, i literally wrote that down yesterday as i’m fleshing out the new plugin(s) for the site to make a lot of this stuff easier
each spotlight will be it’s “own post” if you click the link on it with comments etc
absolutely RIP @ me of the data entry involved converting all the existing “entries” to posts with the title, author, youtube link, image, description, etc

Oofers.
Well, good to hear it coming. It was kinda depressing to look at Ep.11 for the first time in ages, excited to look back on those initial reactions only to see comments blocked
Honestly me dislike this idea because people will just like the “post” and comment there. Not contributing to yt algorithm with dem likes and comments. Possibly even subs.

I don’t care about views or any of that crap. I make videos to see how people react, to see how they enjoyed what i created so i can talk to them about it. I don’t have to touch thousands of people to be happy, comments are what matter to me most
I care about views and subs and that but I also care about their reaction as well. Essentially I’m gonna force gore into my series just so I can avoid COPPA

So guys, we did it
SNM is now porn
the link on the anim spotlight will be to youtube, you’d have to visit the anim spotlight page and click another link there to go to the post-of-the-spotlight page so it’s not like i would be getting in the way of dem youtube clicks/videos
either way i need to make animation spotlights “posts” to streamline the process so this was just a side-effect but does have it’s usefulness

Epicness
Lmfao @ people thinking they have to set it for kids
For kids = targeting video towards children = possible law problems
Not for kids = appealing to everyone ≠ adult content
^
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again
the FTC cannot possibly sue hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people on a per video basis EVEN IN AMERICA, let alone the countless people in other countries where they have no jurisdiction
plus you’d probably get a cease and desist letter before that even if there was a violation
i meant that child targetted videos are the ones that are bad.
Youtube asks is video is intended for children. As in is it made for children. Not familly friendly, but youtube kids kind of area. And if it’s using some sneaky tactics to reel in kids then that is the problem.
So if you mark video as not intended for kids you’re in “safe” zone. In quotation marks because YT is still crap sometimes and managed to find word “cool” in the word detection as a way to target kids. In a 10 minute vid. Yet still.

I’d rather just take zero risks
£42,000 is nothing to shrug at smugly
That’s what I’m talking about. Selecting the thing is targetting kids is literally 42k fine. You’re doing the opposite.

Okay, so set all my vids back to normal then??
you’re in the UK

Well i haven’t gotten got yet so
You know
Guess i can just change it when i feel like it, lol.
Additionally, funny thing i found out. You aren’t allowed to watch videos shrunk down while looking for other videos if they’re ’for kids’.
Um, o-fucking-kay Youtube
