    Recent Lore Expansions and Changes

    So, I think it’s about time for a lore post now. I believe the title is self explanatory, and the post will be split into a few parts. The series and its story has come a long way from when I started writing it, so I hope you enjoy.
    Reminders
    These are info about the lore that were changed a while ago and posted here (for example, see pinned post), but being told again just so you guys can remember it.
    Setting: When I started writing about this series, it was set in 1994, 2 years after the nukes were dropped. Looking back at it, me and Phantom both thought it was too early, so now it’s set around the late 90s (probably 96-97-98), and there is no more “1994” in the name.
    Population: When I was first writing for this, the population for both the US and the USSR were around 100k, and we both decided to change it. The population is around 100 million for the US and somewhere around 140 million for the USSR (note that the USSR as in every Soviet state and not just Russia) after the nukes.
    Naming : The faction formerly known as USROT is now the NAR, the New American Resistance. I have no idea if this was established earlier, but I don’t see any mention of it here, so the name of the organization that took over the government on both the US and USSR is called the Nationalist Order.
    Flags: In the series’ initial start in 2021, the N.O didn’t have any flags. Now they do (for America, anyway).

    If you’re wondering, the NAR’s flag is just the American flag, since they don’t see the nationalists as a legitimate government.
    Newer Stuff
    After the organization (N.O) took control over 2 major world powers, they completely closed all diplomatic relations with other nations until they could rebuild and be more stable, following an isolationist policy until order is completely restored. Since 2 major world powers have completely stopped caring for any sense of diplomacy and trade, the European nations formed the European Defense and Economic Coalition (abbreviated EDEC) to make sure no group can take over their governments in the continent, and to essentially act as something like a replacement for the loss of 2 major powers. They’re essentially like the EU and NATO combined, formed a year earlier. And yes, they do have their own currency.
    The possibility of a cold war between EDEC and the new government is high. Very, very high.
