• Good news in regards to the last post on a custom effect.

The designs are done and I just have to make em in Sticky Nodes. 8 β€˜Sprites’, not sure how smooth etc it’ll look yet but it looks promising.

I’m not revealing too many plans with these stickfigures etc but I’m looking forward to getting on track with it once I’m back from holiday. In the mean time suggest away for the next effect.

That’s right, to catch your attention here it is

Suggest me a new effect !

    • Next could you make a thruster effect because I don’t really see a lot of them and I think I would enjoy it.

        A thruster effect?

        How would that look?

    • Continuous water/blood dripping effect, there are ones that exist on Sticknodes but they are not loopable normally, it’d be a first if you made one.

    • I think you should make your own smart stretch smears and collision effects. Preferably the kind from Baki-

  • If I would make an effect myself what would you have me make?

    Example:

    Fire Explosion

    Whoosh effect

    Water beam

    Etc.

( It can be anything along the lines of what we’ve seen on site from effects thus far )

  • Was playing on my recent survival world and decided to go mining for diamonds..

I dug massive tunnels around 250 blocks long and in total there were around 60 – 70 tunnels. If you strip mine but leave two blocks between each tunnel you cover a lot of area without wasting too much time or tool durability. This still took a lot of time and repairs to my pickaxe to the point where I specifically made one for mining.

The results were tremendous, 277 diamond ore, 64 diamond blocks and still some left over from previous mining sessions.

    • And here I am struggling to even gather 2 diamonds every mining trip

Speaking of which want to join my Sticknodes minecraft server, people who play are Elenazonia, Flowey, Logan, and me. Sorry for the shameless plug

          Hey flowey

I did some work on the house and went Enderman hunting, getting one pathetic Ender pearl. Right now I’m making a, armor stand room as an addition to my room, also made a space for another room which would lead to the garden

Distribute the time spent for each time you play.

I only play every now and again for 30 minutes to 3 hours on some more lengthy play sessions.

I think -58, just aim to go a bit above bedrock but not too high.

Y -55 by technicality is statistically/mathematically the best to find diamonds.
But because lava pools appear at about -54, the recommended y level is -53.

They are a bit of a hinderance but carry a water bucket etc and you’re set, nice supply of obsidian and still a steady supply of diamonds.

  • Animated something after god knows how long..

It’s kind of concerning how long it has been. I think my next step in Stick Nodes improvement and such would be animating, I might start animating more, even small things, probably just that.

Overall it was pretty quick and simple to make but came out alright, could be polished such as better frame rate and frames between and also the placement of the fading ellipses probably flat to the ground then to the angling of the feet too.

  • @ralph not sure if I sent the Stickfigure twice accidentally but it’s the 2023 logo one along with a thumbnail, let me know if you got it alright.

Not sure this is even acceptable enough as a submission but I wanted to keep the theme going.

  • Progress report

I have yet to complete the Spookus remake as I wanted to draw Spookus as well using a pose of Spawn, thought I’d do it as a fun project and so far so good. I ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole and making Kiryu to put some new shading and lighting stuff to use.

Boring explanations aside, Kiryu shirtless is done, Spookus is yet to be made but shouldn’t be too long once I have another shot at it again..

    Here’s Kiryu

  • Update on the Spookus remake

I’ve hit a roadblock as right now while I think it looks pretty good, the colours, proportions and such feel weird, I’m not sure whether to continue and try and tweak as I go or go back to the drawing board.

    Is it good enough?

  • Currently working on another Timelapse, this time I’m making a Roblox item; Bloxy Cola.

Looks kind of crappy but it’s sort of tricky to get right without spending unholy amounts of time and nodes. I’m thinking of making an effect afterwards along with maybe an anim so suggestions for types of effects would be appreciated.

On another note I decided to cancel my entry for the handsome collab, it’s been later and later and I just don’t think for what I want to accomplish along with my ability and the way I’ve had to set it up, I won’t have enough time. I’m working on that Spookus remake still though, I came up with a design I’m going to use on Heroforge and have been working on it since, nothing to show yet, I’d probably like to finish it first then show.

  • Here we go, starting off classic with a Blurlines effect. Not the most interesting but as mentioned in the video it’s just first steps really.

Suggest any effects or stickfigures you might want to see made.

    16
    • Took under 20 minutes to make the effect but around 50 minutes plus to edit it all..

No way in hell I’m becoming a β€˜YouTuber’ anytime soon..

Side note: should I submit it?

      2022-10-10 00:48:51 UTC 8
    • Very nice, I totally forgot curved segments were a thing lol
What program did you use to record and edit this?
Also yes, I think you should submit it, but wait until you’ve made a few more of these types of videos (Assuming you are making more) then submit all of them under a general name of the effects you made during the tutorials/timelapses.

I had to assemble a couple things to make the video, I just used iMovie for most editing, slowing clips, adding the music and then I used an app called MovStash for adding the blur over the clip at the start, for the text overlay there is a green screen option in iMovie so just add a green background in SN and add what you want there.

        Hopefully that covered the lot
