Even if not regarding the splash screen, its not uncommon to see usually on the website where people think a base for an oc is “low quality” though the definition of that probably varies for many. I think it’s mostly just a comparison between those who focus on stick figure creation and the ones who don’t and the same for animation.

Even if we do also focus on animation, from what I’ve seen a significantly larger portion of those in other communities are good at animation while in Stick Nodes most seemingly are below average although I’m just excluding the ones that are good and just looking at the entire community in general. Imo I think this is because Stick Nodes have focused a lot on the region of Ocs, and have continuously developed them until the icons like of today have came to be and spend more time on lore instead of actually animating them though I might be wrong. It could just be instead that users here in general aren’t good at animation.

I feel like this might be because other communities seem to create figures for animation while some here just in general make them for the fun of it.

My point is that I honestly believe SN focuses more on stickfigure creation than the 2 other communities and have hence developed this “low quality” and “high quality” standard and things like scarf ocs began to be thought of as cliche and everything.
