Spotlight Critiques
A group focused on reasonably criticizing the old and new animations featured in the spotlight and future animations brought onto the spotlight so no spotlight animations are thrown into the background and forgotten behind the new animations.
Rules
-If you are to vote for any animation that is your own, go ahead and vote, but vote on it as if you are looking at your old self and bringing up what you can improve on.
-Forcefully telling people everywhere to hate on an animation isn’t cool. Really, don’t be that guy just cause you want the top spot.
-Vote hard, be hard on the people who get spotlight, they already are ranked high having their animation presented in spotlight, so don’t be afraid to give a low rating on that stuff, that all is private anyway.
-Go ahead and give a statement of what you see on the animation, you can put your exact rating in or not on every category. Just don’t force yourself to make one, it’s not necessary.

Todays spotlight is FIRE ABILITY – Entry VulcanMaster’s Elemental Collab by Peewee Cinemasand is simple and short, but entertaining. I don’t really remember this one, I just know I watched it and it was good. Go ahead and rate this thing after watching it.

FPS Apocalypse 4 by Explosive Bullet
I remember making this one. No camera features in SN at the time, no add tweened frame for speed correction, smaller node limit, no effects till near the end of it’s creation. Animation in it is decent but still rough in places. But at the same time, it paved the way for future FPS animations. Certainly will have to return to this at some point. Cause man, it will be way easier to do now with polyfills for walls and stuff like that.

An animation that needs to be rated though is…..More Fucking Scarfs by Someone on my kill list
Jokes aside from the scarfs that appear, the spotlight is Unknown p2 by Mei Yamazuki. I know nothing about this one. I just know Mei does alot of more, calm animations. Less action, more peace. The animations she does too from what I know are good. They got that 60FPS goodness that I religiously stick to. I’ll just have to watch it and figure out what I really think. I already know visuals will probably be low for one big reason.

I’ve kinda just concluded that I will get people to vote on a spotlight daily, and if it doesn’t even recieve 5 votes, I will make a list once we reach the end and it will show the animations that havent recieved a rating. Aside from that, we outta move onto the next spotlight.
Ultimate Heroes Z – Episode 2 by Stick Noob
It isn’t even in English which will come a bit as a suprise considering thefucking title is in Englishit’s title is in english aside from the last part. Now I ain’t pulling out translate to figure out the story, so I just won’t vote on story on this one. Well I will figure out what I think about this one, cause I don’t remember it at all. It just looks like a bootleg DBZ to me right now.

Too many tweening (In between frames) frames and hardly any impact, but the animation is pretty polished. Just not anything special. Tweening a punch is completely fine, but you shouldn’t do so much that it does look like a tap.

Agreed, ther person should have did the “dont tweeter this frame” feature on the frame before the punch to make it seem more impactful. I did the same in Ep.2 and my god, the difference.

10fps you should definitely use the do not tween this, unless you are a god at that framerate. Punches shouldn’t be eased into so much.

It’s got some simple and kinda bland effects and visuals. Overall the animation is quite nice, but most hits don’t seem to have too much of an impact because of tween abuse.

Its very good. Mainly because the timing with the music and animation is done VERY well. The sets that we saw were very detailed and must have taken a while. But the only thing that I could say was bad about this would be the fact that there was not much movement, like at all.So I’d give it a 8/10.

Really good! Only thing is the lyrics and the voice is annoying as fuck. But the trailer style and instrumentals are great! I loved all of the visuals and the editing was very well done too! Solid stuff 8/10 will vote :))))

I remember this guys rise to popularity right around I took my own massive rise. Like many other animators who make a series where people are just being beat up for no reason, hit animation always was pretty decent to me, but I don’t remember too much from him cause there’s nothing that set his animation apart from others. I will just have to see if what I remember of him remains as true or not. Go and vote on this one after you’ve watched it.

The StickNodes Movie Episode 9 by Epitaph
This one came out on Christmas day I remember, back when I was getting my PC. That exact day was the day I dropped mobile gaming. I’m getting off track, so pretty much I wasn’t even aware this came out, but I was waiting for it. Near the end of the day, I saw like 5 different mentions of me and I saw the notification. Watched it and was impressed at that time, but I’m gonna be taking a different point of view today, no bias because I’m in it, and does it show anything really special to the series. Gonna rewatch it and decide fully knowing that the SN Movie is pretty flawed in it’s story and all that. I still have yet to make my own version of this.

Was great! Obviously old vamrack but all vamrack is good. The animation got better as it went on and I’m happy he put in the slow mo, as if it weren’t for it it would get hard to tell what’s happening cause his fast style. It was also kinda funny. Sounds are beefy and nice. 6/10

Todays Spotlight is a rather interesting animation, but I’m gonna have to do a little bit of research. Goku Black Vs Saitama by Bacon Tea. Before we get into this one, Make sure you vote on Mewlias Fate, you won’t regret watching it and it needs a rating. Now. The reason this one needs a bit of reasearch is because it’s style is traced. I remember me noticing this when I first saw it. I was having a hard time looking at it as actually his work and effort put into it. Like Toxic brought up, it’s essentially plagiarism of another animators hard work to create the style of Goku and the other dude in there. So this one I’m conflicted on, does it have the slightest originality, or completely none and the poses were plain stolen along with the video.

Todays spotlight is a suprising amount of entertainment. Mewlias Fate by Vamrack Powerhouse. This animation right here is the first animation I saw of Vamracks, and it got me watching his content well after that. I remember I clicked on this spotlight primarily because I saw Roux in the thumbnail and thought, something SN Movie related, this might be a little interesting. And I was bored at the time so I watched it. Man I sure wasn’t bored after that. So got check it out, vote for it, leave a comment maybe but keep in kind that this is a little lengthy. But trust me, it doesn’t get dry in that entire time.

Todays spotlight has already been pretty well rated. So today I’m gonna bring up 2 animations to the table. The Part Series 1-4 by Ralph.
This one was honestly with all memes and jokes aside, pretty good, it functioned as a way to show some new features in upcoming updates and build up some hype for the actual update on the SN app. So it was pretty good when it was coming out daily progressing up to the 2.0 update and all, but holds at the same time it’s own little story and clean animation with good humor.

While from what I remember, I haven’t watched this, but all I know about Joker is I’m not a fan of some of his style choices, story and so on, but his animation is undeniably good. From my guess, this is an OC battle, so it likely won’t hold any story, but it will be action packed.

Yeah, I know. I planned to do that, but I wanna keep the load easy and just ease into getting to the new spotlights, cause 2 per day feels like it will be a heavy load for many people. I don’t know how busy many people are, so I’m gonna play it safe. The point is to vote on the unvoted spotlight videos and that may not happen if I throw too many spotlights out at once. But yeah, Son Goku doesn’t get it, getting spotlight already says your video is a big hit. The rating and criticism is what tells you the quality of the video. Whether he likes it or not, it’s a judge of an animation at that time, it’s rating still remains the same but it isn’t exactly the representation of his new animations. Also keeping in mind that my first episode of apocalypse on SN wasn’t great either, but it captured a unique visual look, and story despite being flawed.

This one is something I hate for numerous reasons myself. Though it’s a popular series and I ain’t voting 10 times. So we all got to watch this again. Let’s see how the first episode holds up to today. This was released when there was no filters I’m pretty sure and effects was whst made this series shine. So let’s see. Is it’s story existant? Are the effects actually good, is the animation good?Are the character designs good?
