Spotlight Critiques
A group focused on reasonably criticizing the old and new animations featured in the spotlight and future animations brought onto the spotlight so no spotlight animations are thrown into the background and forgotten behind the new animations.
Rules
-If you are to vote for any animation that is your own, go ahead and vote, but vote on it as if you are looking at your old self and bringing up what you can improve on.
-Forcefully telling people everywhere to hate on an animation isn’t cool. Really, don’t be that guy just cause you want the top spot.
-Vote hard, be hard on the people who get spotlight, they already are ranked high having their animation presented in spotlight, so don’t be afraid to give a low rating on that stuff, that all is private anyway.
-Go ahead and give a statement of what you see on the animation, you can put your exact rating in or not on every category. Just don’t force yourself to make one, it’s not necessary.

Hmm. Two series episodes, one is the first episode, one is the second but both are seperate series.
Alright. I’ve know known Napalm for a while, and his 404 series is quite unique. Been a while since I watched it though. This specific one is just 404 – Part 2 by Napalm. Not a special name for it, just simple which is a good sign. But today I will watch it again and give it a rating. And so will you. Maybe.

But this spotlight is Attack on Titan – Generation Ep1 by X-Ray Anims. I already know it isn’t my thing, but it had people raving all over the place over how good it was and we saw the trailer just a few days ago for spotlight rating. We will just have to go and vote on it based on what we see.

Todays spotlights are both pretty well done.
First up is Hell Fight Collab 2 by Animator X. I remember watching this and there really wasn’t much to it,but it was entertaining. The entries were well made and it was quite satisfying. But it kinda just holds that beat up 8 stick figures collab format. Part of the reason I stopped making collabs was just that I didn’t see an overall point in them. Especially when people fail to follow the simplest of rules and rush their entry for the sake of just having their name in there. But go on, check this one out. I think it’s pretty short for a collab.

It isn’t exactly mind blowing good, but it’s good animation that remains consistent throughout his animations which in my opinion is most of the time better than having good animation with a bunch of out of place moments. I remember watching it, but I don’t remember it entirely. A good rewatch will be good followed by rating it.

Neither of these characters are recognizable, but it’s CoolBraker and he has a good track record for animation. Go on, vote what you think about this animation.

Was good! The easing and the effects are great! Although the whole scarf and anime thing aren’t my deal at all so that threw me off a lil. But this is a solid 8/10

Alright, the light at the end of the tunnel is coming close, cause we hit the beginning of my primary series. Now on the other hand I could put a trailer at the forefront, but no. It’s just a trailer, a pretty decent one, but not a 30 minute long episode of a series.
So here I will start of with something that had people pretty riled up in the SN community, and it was pretty much this SN take on the anime Attack on Titan. It was called Attack on Titan – Generation – Ep1 (Trailer) by X-Ray Anims Not my thing, but I watched this and you know, it’s pretty good. But from what is expected of a trailer, it feels like it tries to be triple AAA Hollywood level rather than be it. But regardless, it’s cool to see the stuff he pulls in the trailer here. Unfortunatly it isn’t as impressive when you are rating things hard.

This one is my own spotlight which is Project Landfall Episode 1:Instigation by Explosive BulletIt’s main purpose at this point was to push the limits of SN and show people what it could do if you put loads of effort into it. Problem is that was too muchof the focus and I was trying to get it out faster so I could move onto the more interesting episode 2. So essentially, episode one was forged with add tween frame abuse and frame delays that screwed with the pacing. While it’s undeniable that the visuals and story are in depth and interesting, there’s completely irrelivent scenes that I put in this to get to that 30 minute mark that I planned. So the story was just not executed properly in this first episode. And the walls of text are just ridiculous in this. I didn’t take time to compress the dialogue down and unlike episode two, it didn’t convey Geminis personality of “give me the job and spare me the dialogue for later personality” as well as Centinels “focused, loyal and mission comes first personality.” Not even Dylans personality of Nationalistic, loyal, and rough hearted with dedication to keeping troops under his command alive was conveyed along with Bullets personality of lost and in panic knowing he is fighting something alot bigger than he is, being very secret about many things while knowing he has to try and fight is conveyed. But overall, the vote goes to you guys. This episode is one I would like to make much better in the future. While that is in the plans, I gotta ensure that future episodes complete with all that this episode failed to have in mind. That and the knowledge to animate with the PL base unlike what I had here.

Ngl, I am getting a slight bit tired of this.
But It’s my duty to get old animations rated, so I ain’t stopping.First up we got Black Blood Tryout by Dr.Dr45tic. Black blood related stuff normally can be interesting, too much of it relies on the viewer memorizing every single character and knwoing who they are in every animation or collab. But the animation is always there and it’s good. Go on, rate it.

Todays spotlights are both interesting. A demo and a collab. But both holding a bit of disappointment.
First up we got Keoz’s Demo by Kenn-E O’s. Kenney has some pretty clean animation overall but there’s ownlays thst one thing that drags him down. But I recommend you check it out and give it a rating of what you think.

It’s called Black Blood: Friendly Fire Collab! by Clan Black Blood I remember this holding dissapointment to me cause it’s called friendly fire but there’s hardly use of guns so it just seems odd, but it’s real nice nontheless and you should definetly watch it and rate it.

But just because it’s made by the developer of the app does not mean you have to rate it high. Rate it honestly like you would any other animation.

First animation is by Leio who has put out some nice stuff like this opening. This opening is for Ralph Bizarre Adventures Opening by Leio Animations. A series that sounded like a big thing only until it got the SN PC treatment and dissapeared from the spotlight. This had some impressive stuff done in it and I gotta say it is a recommended watch.

Next spotlight is by the neighborhood DBZ guy. This guy showed up for a good month, but then disappeared. Not quite sure what happened to him. The spotlight is ElpMan vs Blaze by ElpMan. This animation here is not something that has stuck itself in my head. But it has some decent animation. Go check it out and vote on it.

Don\’t know if I\’m allowed to do this, but I found a pretty nice underrated gem of an animation in the spotlights. I\’ve listed it here. It leaves a bit to be desired in animation quality, and quite a bit of it is edgy, but it does have consistent pacing to it and overall delivers an enjoyable fight experience. It actually shows what SN fight animations can be if characters aren\’t whiny babies blabbering on every 2 seconds after they trade a blow with each other. I\’m wondering what everyone else thinks of it, so I\’ll just post the link here and be on my way!

Todays spotlights are both quite interesting to me. You got a simple short animation on one hand and a lengthy little animation from the legend Vamrack.
First up we got Underground Fight (BIG MISTAKE) by RANDOMstuff animation. I remember watching this one a while ago and there was just something so great about it. Maybe it’s cause it’s a breath of fresh air from the anime stuff we see all the time. But I highly recommend you go and watch this sweet and short animation.

Next up we got Arch, Mewlia, and Snipe Story by Vamrack Powerhouse. While the title is generic and really isn’t anything interesting, it’s still Vamrack with his incredible fights and humor with an actual attempt put into story. Seriously, check this one out and vote on it. This is great stuff.

So I skipped Jokers stuff a little bit because it’s unfair to rate his videos that have been privated by someone who hacked his channel. But he got it back so we can vote on 2 of his animations. One that I skipped, and another that is right on where we originally were.
First up is Joker Story|Part 3|”The True Culprit” by Joker Execution. Now, this one I gotta watch with the context of previous parts. But from what I remember, Joker fails miserably in story and some pacing, but his animation is unique. It’s pretty good. Go ahead though. Check it out and rate on it. I have yet to throw my rating at it since I wasn’t gonna unfairly vote 1/5 because his video was on private due to a hacker.

I just watched through it and it doesn’t have anything going for it aside from animation. Story is elements level garbage, visuals are generic but average overall and theres a bunch more wrong with it. It’s just average to me.

Todays spotlights include a collab and a trailer that isn’t even really a trailer. First up is Stick Nodes on Random 4 by Heckray Anims. This video reminds me of those old pivot animations of random stuff. It’s got nostalgia. Though as expected people will submit cringe. But you got check out this lengthy collab as vot on what you think of it.

Next spotlight is a short “trailer” called Stick Nodes Flash Movie Teaser by Mr.Sixty 60. I wasn’t really impressed with this, aside from the fact that it’s a bad trailer. But you decide one whether the animation in this is a saving grace of the failed trailer aspect.

Todays spotlights both have some pretty decent animation. We have Elementalist by Kenn-E O’s. While his Beyond Humanity series is beyond disappointing, his side animations that focus just on animation aren’t too bad. They have flaws, but this animation ain’t too bad from what I remember. Go and vote on it.

Next up we got what is the beginning of a series? Master-O Reborn – Episode 1 (SenseiMo vs Zerlaw Scene) by TheRealSenseiMo Yeah. This is what is supposed to be episode one of Mo’s series but it’s just an OC battle. It suffers from the problem every other SN series suffers from. No work is put into the story, just animation. But atleast this has good animation going for it. But go and vote on it yourself after watching it.

But today the legend returns.
Leader vs Tarboron by Vamrack Powerhouse. Not much to say other than this is ridiculously entertaining. Vamrack always does his fights really well and he adds onto it by putting in sounds and humor. It’s just God tier entertainment. Go and vote on this relic.
