Or, I’d have to struggle with more manual work. Oh well. Though I wouldn’t complain if I could have option to keep segments in same angle, unless moved by parent segment.

Got stuck in a pickle cause I might need an option to have non-static nodes not breaking the chain.

Another option that could work with this is puppet segments. Or smth with other name. Just segment that copies length and angle of specific segment. I’d use it to continue the chain or basically have that one specific element that need to be smart stretched branch off from other place.

@ralph I am currently in production of the rig that if it is successful, it might change the entire Stick Nodes lol.
Also, I have found the way to make reverse smart-stretch. :^)

You don’t need it anymore, just need file explorer. But often can not work or smth. Apple is weird.

Also. Here’s the reverse smart stretch. Moving only single node.

awesome
i am very intrigued
is that working? with 1 node movement or is that an example of what you’re trying to do
because wtf if it’s real
It is real-
It’s really bizzare mechanism. But the problem is, it still works on principle of if I make node short, that reversed node still gets short. Just the opposite direction :c
Sadly no way to make it expand instead when making it shorter.

Red – Static
Blue – Do not smart stretch static
great
we’ve now reached that level of Stick Nodes comparable to the actual working CPUs people make with redstone in Minecraft that leave me bewildered
i’d need to move that node around to see what it does, i’m trying to visualize the stretchiness occuring but my brain fried
Just replicate the model I did and just stretch that top node.
It should be pretty visualised.
okay i just did and it does work
wondering why you have it so complex tho, why have 2 blues then 2 reds, i guess let me find out
2 blues is making sure it doesn’t get too weird and kinky with getting too long or short.
Idk, happened to me once. Now it’s my safety caution.
2 red is basically it going back and forth so you can attack smth at the end of the red in symmetrical way. But can be removed.
well i made it 1 and 1 and it still works
but then i removed more and now idk wtf i created it scared me and i left
Wanted to make Ralph Head but big elements like glasses still are bit weird and would prob need to figure out how to do it, or give up on some stuff on having everything “Animate itself”

Also emailed it to you so you can toy around with it.
We did it boys
We got Sticknodes 3d
this is insane
Always had dreams about that, but with guns.
I have no idea how you do that…WHICH ONE OF THESE NODES GO FIRST?!?
AND HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO HAVE IT STATIC BUT ALSO SMART-STRECH?!?!
Do it from top to bottom. And I said to turn on “do not smart stretch” on these middle ones.
The only node you move is on top.
How are the red ones static but also smart stretch, though?
So like… The rig is basically head rn. And I want it to move up and down but can’t with how smart stretch chains currently work etc :c
At least turning works with reverse smart stretch.

i can barely understand whats going on, my brain is fried and exploded in really small parts, you little piece of genius boi, whatever is going on and after reviewing replies, shit’s really cool. is always welcome to innovate the ways to animating stuff, im from the old school one and have my own ways to do stuff your ways are special and very unique in my opinion, even if we get the same results i do know that yours saves time and effort, one of my goals as an stick noder animator is to always create quality content and SPENT short amount of my time but of course with out dropping down basics and stuff to make my animations to do itself in just a tap, it would be saying that you did a “hard work” when you didn’t and is basically asking for a button that does your job as an animator.
*spams add inbetween button*
Jk lol
Tho M8 I’m just having “arc style”. Which is cutting corners or improving things but at great cost of flexing ma brain.
Suprised ya didn’t see 360 smart stretch hair I did-
I did see you 360 smart stretch hair, you re trying to abuse shit lmfao.
Wont be any different that what i gonna attempt in my upcoming animations.
If nobody wanna increase the quality of the animations done in stick nodes even more and fast as fuk boi, i do that myself.
I guess I’m just always being unnoticed-
F.
*hides projects deeper in the drawer* u-u
No i always spying on everyone in community to see what they re doing, even when you think im offline, but shhhhh that would of make me a bad guy for peeking on everyone and seeing what’s up with their projects 🙂
You should try to find a way to ‘mask’ figures that would be insane to say the least. Since i dont think it’s possible at all.
U dont have so much people looking in ya stuff but trust me, i’m well aware of your ‘automatic’ stickfigures abusing smart strecth and polyfills.
Keep em coming
Ultra Crazy Eye Pack.
There’s your masking lol
Imo thats pretty ‘basic” i dont mean that way of masking too.
Well yea. Still no one did it tho lmao. There’s no way to make masking. I recommend making greenscreens or smth and editing it in. Or simply use the fact that it’s heccing animation and you can use power of illusion. Like that node isn’t 3d. It’s illusion. You have to keep these things in mind.
Ik, 28281818277271 of years abusing shit has lend me to find no result for real masking.
Flash is the way.
R u doctor strange
Perphaps… For now we both gonna be busy trying to innovate and take stick nodes further beyond no one can imaginate.
Gonna beat flash and pivot bro just watch.
m8 I am always up for any innovative ideas. Hit me up and I could try to come up with plans on how to do stuff.
