I actually enjoyed this one I made, so I’m gonna remake it.

Creature no. 11
Space bird.
Discovery date: Unspecified, but the earliest date is an Aztec art piece describing a ginormous unreachable bird, hovering over the horizon.
Creature Type: Atmospheric, Irrational, Neutral.
Threat potential: 7
Taking place in an alternate timeline in history.
Throughout history, there were believed to be “mythological sightings” of a giant bird hovering over the horizon. Some oddly thought that the Argentavis Magnificens possibly never went extinct, but a bird that was visible over the horizon would have to be way larger than that.
It was described as possibly being as large as 1 – 2 km in size, and its behavior was described as “Performing impossible maneuvers, no sign of needing to use its wings at all. It always stayed in an upright position.”
Some thought that it could perhaps be a U.F.O instead of a biological species. Or an undisclosed plane that wasn’t being told to the public. The idea of a plane 2 km wide plane was actually plausible, given that in the distance there was actually an island. The flaw about this proposal however was that the island was less than 1 km in size, and probably wouldn’t be able to support the size of such a plane, and that this object had been around since the Aztec civilization.
This theory remained until one sighting reported seeing the object flying directly over the person at a speed described as being nearly 3,000 mph.
And they said that there was a very clear view, of feathers. Sightings describing the sight of this supposed massive bird stated that they would in the moment feel a sheer amount of megalophobia or anxiety. The object was so large above it appeared to block out the entire sky, suggesting it was way larger than just a few kilometers. Whats more interesting though, is that it was seen above the clouds. As the ancient aztecs attempted to go towards the creature once in the horizon, they tried going up towards the object. And they found that it was a celestial object farther away THAN THE MOON.
This object was further in the moon, and yet it managed to block out the entire sky. Nobody knows what it is, but its clear that there is a ridiculously large structure in the solar system, that in appearance was “obviously” a bird.
Whatever we did while traveling to the object, it scared it away and stopped appearing entirely.
